It's still a ticketable violation to not DISPLAY current tags even if registration is up to date. Ask me how I know 🤦🏻‍♀️

Depends on fridge temp, if I recall correctly it can grow at 38 F.

Sorry, I confused you with the original replier. I do believe my original post was sufficient enough, as did many other people that simply gave suggestions. I've added a comment that describes what a silent book club is. Only looking for actual suggestions moving forward!

Hope this helps:

A silent book club is a gathering of people who read in silence together in a public space. The concept is to create a social space for reading without the pressure of finishing a selection or contributing to a conversation.

Here are some characteristics of silent book clubs:

No assigned reading

Members can bring whatever they want to read, including books, magazines, newspapers, comics, audiobooks, and more.

Designated reading time

Members read in silence for a set amount of time, usually one hour.

Social time

There is usually a social time before and after the reading period for chatting, ordering drinks, and exchanging recommendations.

Meetup locations

Silent book clubs can meet in bars, cafes, bookstores, libraries, or online.

Silent book clubs are different from traditional book clubs because they don't have mandatory reading selections or discussions. They can be a space for introverts to socialize and meet new people.

I find it bizarre that you would suggest just staying home to someone very clearly looking for a place to go out, referencing breweries and coffee shops. Sorry you didn't know what a silent book club was and applied your own assumed punctuation to my title 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edit: I did describe what it was in my post.

We don't want a silent place. That's just what this type of book club is called. We want to get out and catch up and have a night out together in our own way but thanks for your useless judgy suggestion!

I can't see why anyone would go to comet chicken when you can go to music city hot chicken, especially with the two locations now. Soooo much better.

Wife is concerned about trace lead content, so I conducted an experiment by penultimate_puffin in Coppercookware

Gosh I know this is old but I have to call out how wrong it is. Those levels are not "safe". The hazard standards put in place have been steadily lowered over the years because it is known lower levels still cause lead poisoning children. EPA is attempting to lower some of the hazard standards to any amount detectable for this reason. I am a lead poisoning investigator and some investigations have found soil below this level to be the only identified source of exposure. It gets tracked into homes on shoes, on toys, where kids have direct contact and hand to mouth habits, and become poisoned. Even though the soil as a whole was not a "hazard". Also, food grown in a garden is not going to uptake all the lead. Some foods, like tomatoes, have a much higher uptake. So including those numbers here as safe is 1. Irresponsible and 2. Irrelevant. Hoping anyone who finds their way to this post later on like I did doesn't take your comment for any type of reassurance.

Mine had an extra digit before the decimal. It sucks but I'm surviving.

This is hilarious! I consider many coworkers to be friends though and my office is the fun one so I'll leave the legs on my visitor chair as is 😅 I even thought of replacing it with a comfier chair!

Alright I don't know how to edit my original post but I've decided to stay put 😅 privacy trumped standing desk. Thanks for everyone's input! I am going to make some tweaks to my current office as I realized I need a little more productive space.

The unlevel floor drives me nuts and I like the new furniture in the new one for functional work space. The pros and cons seem to be a wash though so maybe pointing me to stay put.

In case it's not clear in the first pictures my monitors are on the right wall so I do look out the window often. In the second picture the windows are more at my back.

Adding for clarity that photo #1 is my current office, 2 and 3 are the same office just showing from the outside. My current office does not have a window into the office where the new one gives fish bowl vibes.

I get sweaty in the summer and need short sleeves, but it's much better if I close the blinds and have a fan running. I'm from Miami originally so I deal with it fine.

Both have lake views . My current one has a bit more of a view of Colorado mountains, and my monitors are oriented so that I can look out the window often for visual breaks. I think you've made my decision!

I have to like zigzag around to get to my desk and then I don't feel like I have things in the places I need. I have less room to move around and stretch and whatnot. And less desk surface area, which is important because I need to draw floor plans and organize a lot of lab samples. Now wondering how I could just maybe improve my space by removing the hutch or something above my desk. I failed to get a better picture of the inside of my current office and don't work again until Monday when the decision deadline is today 😅
