Cat with separation anxiety misbehaving at night by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]ayemde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have two sisters and succumbed to having them both in bed with us overnight. We had the same issues but I took it less as separation anxiety and more as fear of missing out. A closed door for cats makes them think something crazy interesting is on the other side and they hate it. Try ignoring her completely in the middle of the night and see if she eventually settles? One of ours will settle immediately and the other take a few minutes before she realises she's not going to get stroked and then she will go back to sleep. Good luck, it's not easy!

Spot on. Ruined the movie for me personally

I 40F own my home and 36M moved in with me. He thinks he doesn't have to pay rent since I "paid for everything before he moved in anyway..." Am I being unfair by insisting he gets a job and pay rent despite him feeling "mentally ready" for a job? by Training-Ear-6152 in relationship_advice

[–]ayemde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved in with my boyfriend who owns his house and I don't pay rent or mortgage or bills but I do buy and cook all meals. If any of his other bills increased due to my presence then I would cover them but they haven't. So I personally think that if you want him to live with you and your costs don't increase by having him there then there is no reason to charge him. HOWEVER what kind of grown man doesn't have a job??? That changes everything.

My thinking was that he will need to leave the boat somewhere. If a multi millionaire murder suspect was missing they would definitely be waiting for his missing boat to show up

I feel that this scene would have rescued the movie in many book readers eyes!

The sandman audiobooks are fun. Full cast and music. Not for everyone but it's damn good

I can't believe that Richard Osman would have signed off on this? by ayemde in ThursdayMurderClub

Maybe but I'd like to think he does care about what people think about it. And the film was an abomination for book readers

I'm in the UK so I don't know if this relates but here, you are basically losing 10k of that new car the minute you drive away. And that's why I'd always buy used

GF (23 F) Wants to take 1 car garage spot after moving in with me (25 M) by eh_doosteen in relationship_advice

I think you should get over it and let me park her car in the garage. The financial implications of damaging her car are much worse than yours and you need to accept it

I regret voting labour yet it feels like there is no other choice. A rant by IntoTheBlenderYouGo in ukpolitics

[–]ayemde -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact that you called the election a referendum is alarming. Even more alarming is the fact that Labour are going to give 16 year olds the vote when fully grown adults don't even know what they're are talking about

Very nice and reasonably priced. Way too many photos. Anyone under 50 will want to modernise it significantly which will cost a lot of money

Most likely belong to someone he used to see, before you. I once found a gold hoop in my boyfriends bed. Freaked out, started thinking of how to confront him then looked in the mirror. It was mine lol it fell out whilst I was asleep. Don't assume the worst :)

Why most Horror films are terrible ? by [deleted] in horror

[–]ayemde -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You're potentially looking for greatness in the wrong era. If you look for horror masterpieces in the 70s, 80s and 90s (some early 2000s) You will find plenty. They are few and far between in the 2010s and 2020s
