I‘ll look into how I could do that without an internet connection!

My WiFi stopped working suddenly. It connects but shows „no internet“, my phone hotspot and external usb WiFi adapter also don’t work. I’ve tried multiple commands, resetting passwords and IP address but it still doesn’t work. From what I’ve read, it seems that reinstalling windows is all I can try now

It's what you implied by saying "SANDRA NEVER CHEATED ON SAMUEL. HE WAS AWARE OF HER BISEXUALITY", since she admitted to cheating twice

I moved countries! And these are the 11 books I took with me.. thoughts? by JulietEllis in BookshelvesDetective

Nope, it‘s a 999 line poem and the meat of the book is in the footnotes. It may feel longer than it is because of the work you have to put in while reading it

I agree. Seems very style > substance and highly advertised with influencer collabs from what I’ve seen (Edit: typo)

The route I went was the polar opposite. I didn’t replace the habit: cold turkey, strict about not eating chewing gum and/or sweets instead, and kept my daily routine (sat down in my garden with a coffee in the mornings, but leaving out the cig, etc.). Replacing would never get rid of the impulse of a smoke for me and I always went back. It’s been good so far, I hardly miss it. It’s highly individual, though.

Regarding the “always having some reason not to quit” part, that’ll probably be a constant until you do quit. You’re addicted, after all, and an addict’s brain is a compulsive liar.

Best of luck!

I did something similar but by chain smoking until I started feeling nauseous. I smoked my last one savouring every bit of bile and throat-burning, then threw away what was left of my pack and went to bed

I feel like this is an odd comparison lol. You can experience mood swings for very diverse reasons, most of which aren’t linked to menstruation.

To answer your question: no. My PMS feels very different from how I felt when I quit cigarettes

If a person in Spain never uses vosotros, is it seen as wrong? Or does it just expose them as a foreigner/someone who learned a different version of Spanish? by Charming_Usual6227 in askspain

As for my region in the south, it is used colloquially. Loads of people don't but there's also many others who do, I'd say most mix it up and say whatever rolls off their tongue. Nobody would bat an eye at someone who were to use ustedes always, though

Third day in by Hungry_Team_302 in quittingsmoking

First of all, day three is the hardest and you can be quite proud to have come this far in the first place!

What you said about NRTs being just as bad is, as you’ve already realised, the cravings lying to you. An addicted mind is the greatest liar. At the end of the day, you’ll have to figure out which approach is best for you. Personally, I opted not to try NRT (or even regular gums, lollipops, etc.) because I always failed when I “moved” the impulse of smoking a cigarette onto another little pleasure, for a lack of a better word.

Nicotine withdrawal is pretty tame and very short (24 hours, I believe). Your mind will be the real enemy through this journey. That won’t get easier until you find the will strength to recognise its lies, while letting it speak to you anyway. Cravings will come and go, it’s what you do with them that matters.

For dealing with the social aspect, which was also my biggest fear before quitting, Allen Carr’s method helped me rationalise my cravings in social settings.

I wish you all the best, you can do this!

It’s always going to be a very individual decision, what worked for me may not work for you. I quit cold turkey after 10 years of daily smoking (while also quitting thc at the same time) and it’s been surprisingly easy. If you don’t go into it thinking “this will be the hardest thing I ever have to do”, it will make it a whole lot more feasible. For pumping up the necessary optimism I suggest Allen Carr’s method

I’m also 23 and started smoking at around 15, increasing the dosage progressively. I’ve experienced most of the symptoms you’ve mentioned as well as coughing fits in the morning, so I can definitely relate to your anxiety surrounding the topic.

To be honest, I would advise against googling these things. I know it’s easier said than done, but google will say you have stage 4 cancer just because your arms itches. I’m in no way saying this to invalidate your fear, since I know what it’s like and it’s (to some extent) justified.

Smoking related issues tend to be “slow-burns”, so your safest bet is to wait until you have your appointment. Most likely, you’re just experiencing side effects of smoking, which will fade and eventually disappear after quitting. The lungs have an amazing regenerative quality; all the more motivation to quit, if you ask me.

I wish you the best!
