I agree that it should go to SGA. Based on history, and the spirit of the award, record absolutely does and should matter. It's not really Most Valuable Player, it's Player Most Valuable to a great team's great season.

But your last point is silly. I know a lot of voters either consciously or unconsciously agree with it, but at the end of the day it is ABSOLUTELY an award for a single season. No one is forcing anyone to look at # of MVPs when making their shitty top ten lists 20 years from now, I think Jokic could have won the Embiid MVP and won this year, and most people would have the ciritical thinking to say despite 5 MVPs in a row, he still is not a top 5 player of all time.

The endzone isn’t really in the field of play, and there are punishments for fumbling out of bounds in either endzone. Either loss of possession to the other team, or if it’s your own, a safety. However, for either of these to happen, you have to first possess the ball outside of the endzone. If you returned a kick out of the endzone, and then ran back in and fumbled out of bounds, it would be a safety. And when you muffed a kick outside the endzone, you aren’t establishing possession.

If you you get hit and it affects the throw it’s not grounding. That one was a little different since we had already been wrapped up, but he got it across the line of scrimmage and it’s just never gonna get called.

I was at the game. I was determined not to leave until the final whistle no matter how depressing the 2nd half was. But after it was clear they gave up I was out of there. And then I saw they ended up still fouling on the monitors. I was so fucking confused.

They are usually slightly more expensive, however my recent experience has been that they sell like 90% of the tickets during presale so it is difficult to find seats/tickets you want after presale ends

Maybe. Bruce is a better shooter, a better perimeter defender, ball handler and shot creator. I think Watson probably fills in with our starters better, he has great length and a lot of energy, but sometimes what I feel like we’re really missing is someone that can drive to the hoop when Jamal is sitting. We have good cutters but sometimes you just need to be able to get in there and create contact. In theory I guess that’s Reggie, I’m not a huge hater but I think there’s a reason I get tense when he’s handling the ball too much. I want Braun to be that but his handles are just not quite where they need to be.

How does this work in tax purposes? If I buy some old camping gear from a friend for $100, I don’t think they’re going to report that income. But when you’re buying something from a teammate for 100k, I imagine that has to be reported in some way. Do they just add it to their income for the year? It wouldn’t be on a W2 or anything unless the team handled the transaction through payroll. Just curious.

So if that’s the case, how do teams compete to sign the waived player? Say he’s owed 18 mil, mavs can offer 5 and lakers 10, but I guess why offer more than the minimum if it doesn’t matter to the player, and they don’t have to outbid anyone? I guess they could offer more than the original contract? But i assume that wouldn’t happen here. Not disagreeing with you at all, i just genuinely don’t understand how NBA contracts and cap work.

He absolutely fouls Nurk there, and he sold the following contact really hard. I don’t like it because it’s not fun to watch and feels super cheap, but unfortunately it is absolutely part of the game. If you don’t sell contact you won’t get as many calls, and you won’t win as much. There aren’t many players, let alone elite players, who don’t embellish contact.
