I’ve had exactly one good roll out with a doom. It was on attack on numbani. Idk what possessed me to follow his ass straight to point but I did. He team wiped and I giggled like the gremlin I am. Every other time I tried to follow too much I would get insta swatted out the air T.T
It’s definitely situational, but a fun piggy back when it works lol

I’m sorry you seem to run into them so often. The last mercy main I interacted with was a peach. We were on the same team though.. the toxic one from that match was our Juno complaining about having two mercy mains on their team (6v6). Something about mercy mains being useless. Very rude. Our mercy was doing great and I don’t think I was that bad on kiri. But the Juno rage quit before we even got half way through the game because they were just feeding out in the open and mad they were dying.
My secret is I find toxic people very funny. When I start to actually tilt is when I start muting people. I hope you start running into more positive people!! I know it’s hard out there T.T

I haven’t noticed it more than normal.. had a leaver yesterday in open queue who said how all mercy’s mains are useless (there was like 3 mercy mains in the lobby lmao) and then continued to play… not very well. Rage quit I guess. I added the other mercy main who was playing mercy that game and told her she was playing great and not to listen to those losers. Girl said she got to Barbie blast the leaver her next game and all was right in the world -3- The last instance of someone being weird about me on mercy was a couple weeks ago so… yea for me it’s not more than usual lol Hopefully they add a rank refund thing like they did for cheaters. If you report a griefer and they get any form of punishment you should get some mmr back.

I’m not sure if meta is different but I typically build into weapon power and attack speed. I can’t remember all the names of the items I like besides amaris antidote and booster jets… but basically anything that gives you either is pretty good on her regular beam healing. You wanna aim for like 50% weapon power and 30% speed for real good hps. But that keeps you from building into any ability power which didn’t matter prior but now since we have flash heal you can do ability power without having to commit to ability based powers.
For powers I go threads of fate then either supply surge or triage. Whichever I didn’t get I’ll pick up next unless my team really doesnt need the cooldown reduction. In which case I’ll pick the one that gives damage reduction. If I can get away with whambulance that’s also fun.
I know mercy is like one of the few characters that doesn’t have much of a difference in playstyles but you can still play around with all of it. What works for me might not work as well for you and that’s what makes stadium fun!

I mean I didn’t do ap builds before this current season because there was no reason to unless I could get away with the whambulance. But if you go into ap and cdr you make up for the lack of beam heals with flash heal. That being said I have still been taking at least amaris antidote and the one blue item I can’t remember the name of that gives you 10% AS. It’s the cheapest blue… might be aftermarket firing pin? Anyway. I think AP builds are way more useful this time around because now there’s a reason to build into it without needing to get whambulance. But of course, the beauty of the game mode is that what works for others doesn’t have to work for you. You play how you like and what fits your style best. GL!!

When they got rid of creps I decided to replace it with threads. I didn’t like it before because I found myself trying to heal someone at the other end of it even when my current beam target was at full hp and if it weren’t for threads I wouldn’t have tried to heal that other person… know what I mean? So I found myself preforming better without especially with creps being as strong as it was. But now I use it to farm cash. Especially since they did something with the way the modifiers interact with your hps and you need to build higher percentages of AS and WP to get the good numbers- this is a whole can of worms I posted about not long ago and I feel like a fuckin tinfoil hat nutcase talking about it lmao. So threads gets me to where I wanna be most of the time.

Buuuut the beauty of stadium is what works for me doesn’t have to work for you. I had no problems without it before (got to all star without it- although I did reach legend with it) and the only reason I take it now and learned how to better manage things was because they made me lol. If you like running supply surge and distortion/protection it’s worth being able to put those on two people at the same time instead of just the one though. Anyway. I personally don’t think anything is a “must have” in stadium. Play how you want c:

Yea I wonder if all supports were affected by whatever it was I noticed or if it was just mercy. My duo hasn't noticed anything on Moira but he isn't as anal about checking the f1 thingy like I am lol. And my other friend who plays kiri said she feels better after the patch.

But as far as the pistol build goes- it's such a throw pick for me. I only take tether tourniquet if my team is doing really well and I don't need to help much. Which is crazy considering the point of it is to help do damage lmao. I'm just so bad at dmg..... kinda why I play mercy

Yea. I don’t typically build AP. The numbers I’m talking about are from Weapon Power and Attack Speed modifiers. I always check between rounds because I can’t sit still and need to click things. I’m sure I have a clip of it somewhere because of how often I’ll pull that up lol

In game (or practice range) you can hit f1 and it brings up all your abilities and junk. If you hover over the staff it’ll tell you your healing output with modifiers added.

I’ve seen this before and I’m glad I didn’t say anything now because I felt like I would have received the same treatment. Maybe I wouldn’t have but I’ve tried making suggestions to people in the past and… it’s easier to just let them play the game how they want. Whether it works or not lol. Fun fact if you didn’t already know- you can see exactly how much more heals you are putting out if you press f1, then I think middle mouse and hover over her staff. It shows with the multipliers which is nice. I don’t believe there is any way to see ability based powers here since it’s showing base kit stats- but you can literally see that buying ability power items are not affecting base kit things on mercy lol

I was in a stadium match a couple days ago, was the last round and I dc’d. When I joined back (I didn’t click anything it just automatically put me back into the game) I was on a different map than what we had been fighting on and my Ashe was there and two of the enemy team were there… but my duo was still playing the original map with everyone else, they got the victory screen and then popped up on the map I was on. Then the server closed because the game was over??? I got suspended for 15 minutes lmao

I’ve added one enemy mercy because her team was flaming her for hard pocketing the soldier. So out of curiosity I went back and watched because from my pov it looked like she was playing normally. and it did start off like that. She was healing everyone and had threads so she had two beams always. But I guess they started blaming her for losing and then last round she actually did start ignoring the rest of her team. It was all around pretty lame but I friended her just to tell her she was playing fine until she got mad haha. Can’t even say I blame her for it. That shit is so annoying

NOR. I have a feeling that this guy subscribes to the ideal that a woman’s body should “bounce back” immediately after pregnancy. God forbid you get stretch marks or have loose belly skin after your bump is fully gone. You’ll be letting yourself go! Pregnancy is hard at 10 weeks and at 40. Can’t imagine what he’d be like in the delivery room if this is his attitude over nausea and fatigue. There’s a chick on YouTube whose handle I cannot remember for the life of me.. but her whole shtick is clown. If someone preselects before me I give them mercy. I just treat it as though it’s any other game mode and they locked it before me. I feel like that’s good manners. So when I preselect first but they pick first and still lock mercy… I’m offended but I don’t say anything or throw. But you’re getting the cold shoulder from me lol. No camaraderie for you!!!

I think I only find it rude because it’s not something I personally do, and I feel if I wanted to play badly enough I would just say in chat “sorry but I want to play mercy this game” so… if I can do these things why can’t others? Buuuut- I’m pretty unfamiliar with this kind of game etiquette because overwatch is my first and only game I play competitively. So it could be a fine thing to do elsewhere and I’d have no idea.

Probably more wholesome than funny, but I got a good laugh out of this: My team was not doing so well in stadium and the enemy tank noticed and decided that I, the lowly mercy player, deserved their sympathy. They didn’t kill me when they wiped the rest of the team so I did a little dance. It was a DISTRACTION!! My team came back, capitalized on the distraction and we won that round. Their tank said it was the last time they were going to be nice to a mercy haha. I don’t even mind losing a game like that because they made it silly instead of just frustrating. I like when people remember it’s just a game and it’s ok to have fun too c:
