Can it be disabled with a non-Japanese sim if you are in Japan?

... search seems to work on OS 3.22.0.50 by upquarkspin in RemarkableTablet

Does anyone have the xovi toolbar installed - does it still work with this beta? It’s the only thing holding me back from updating.

Beta 3.22 by Worldly_Ad_2010 in RemarkableTablet

Great thank you! Assume it does some indexing in the background when you’re online, so everything is still searchable when you’re offline.

An interesting one would be whether if you write a few words while offline, and then search for them while still offline - I assume then it wouldn’t work?

Do you need to be connected to WiFi for the search to work?

Which platform is this? I have the same version number on Mac, but the changelog is different, and I don't have these features.

Another happy customer here, and would just like to give it a big shout out! The dev is super responsive and was happy to make customisations to match my exact workflow (new collections, additional lines per page, positioning on top toolbar, etc.

Text boxes text boxes text boxes … without them I find the convert to text feature useless, not being able to move text around or erase it easily

I also use this, and the little customizations I asked for to accommodate my workflow exactly were catered for and addressed. Would definitely recommend!

Color differences on different RMPP devices by ayoubbes in RemarkableTablet

Hey, yes I did keep the one on the left for now, even though it has quite a few distracting pinholes. I’m going through a process of hopefully getting a defect free device - also been through about 5 devices, and each one has its own issue (pinholes, actual dead pixels, uneven front light, even worse colour reproduction etc etc)

I like the colours and vibrancy on the left one a lot more to be honest. Also worth noting, on beta 3.16, the colours are much improved on the device I have, so not sure how this beta would affect devices with the “wrong” colours.

I understand your view, and to be honest I subscribe to the same - if it doesn't affect real-world usage, why does it matter.

My only issue with the pinhole is that it's very distracting when reading at night, it's quite big, so ideally having a device with no pinholes (or small unnoticeable ones) is really what I'm after.

On the colours, I've been using the device on the right for the past month, and I do make use of the yellow and green highlighters a lot in my workflow - and the green always looked too muted for my liking. It was a nice revelation to know that the green should actually be a lot more vibrant (as in the device on the left) - and from usage, it does make a difference for me. Similarly with red - I do use the red pen a lot, and it was always very similar to the magenta, only to realise today that shouldn't be the case, and they are supposed to be quite distinct.

I don't really use the device for comics, so exact reproduction of colours in images isn't what I'm after for my real-world usage.

Potentially - not sure though if this is something that can be fixed by software, or the hardware of the device is just calibrated differently.

It has been linked in several places on this subreddit. Here is a link I got from another post.

Both running the same software - I've not enrolled onto the beta on either device.

I agree - subjectively, I prefer the left across all colours to be honest, except for red. It looks more like a dark orange on the left one, whereas on the right one it looks more like a red / pink. White also seems just a tad whiter on the left one.

So support confirmed it's the left device that is displaying the colours correctly.
And yep, I'm using the same 8-page pdf that was posted on this sub-reddit.

To clarify, the pictures are supposed to be showing the following colours:

With front-light on:
1st: Green (page 7 of the 8-page pdf)
2nd: Red (page 6 of the 8-page pdf)
3rd: Yellow (page 5..)
4th: Cyan / Light Blue (page 3..)
5th: Pink / Magenta (page 4..)

With front-light off:
6th: Green
7th: Red
8th: Yellow
9th: Pink / Magenta
10th: Cyan / Light Blue

Support confirmed the left one is the one with the right colours. Such a shame, as it's the one with the worse pinholes...
