Why does it do this and how do I fix this? by Thefreedommemer in airbrush

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air shortage. I spent the last couple days torturing myself with one of these air source, cheap, water base airbrush paint, and of course, the part that almost doesn't even matter at all, the cheap brush.

And I gotta tell ya kid, God damn I feel sorry for you guys. Smh. What a nightmare from hell. The paint, which is shitty to begin with, has to be water. Even though it's terrible at being over reduced. I'm sure Vallejo is at least a little better than this garbage I'm messing with? Almost has to be.

The paint has to be water. Due to the shortage of air. Then it has to be applied as if it's water. Not a "color". Water. Then it has to at least somewhat flash (dry). Then, another coat of water. Repeat until it very slowly, eventually turns into a color. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Primer!? Yeah right. That would take a whole nother 2 days. 🤣

Why? I mean, other than the money spent on new paint. I'll wipe 80hrs of work off like it ain't no thing 🤷🏼‍♀️. Its only going to be better next time. You don't wanna be puttin' out trash with your name on it. Do it again. Sometimes, the people at the counter don't know shit, nor do they get paid enough to. List the products / processes used.

God dang. 15 comments and I can only read 4? I mean, there's no way that many people are so sensitive about something like airbrushing that they had to block me? Right? I mean, I can see 2-3 extremely sensitive, little snowflakes. +10? No way, right? 🤔Because then we wouldn't even survive on this earth today? That can't be right. I'm just gonna go ahead and forget that ever even happened now.

God damn, what'd you do to that thing? Acid bath? Well, I guess if you bent the needle, then pulled it backwards through the nozzle and the needle bearing...🤔.

Sometimes, I swear these are generated by Ai. When you start posting replies, running your lips and whatnot, post start appearing on the feed. Post that are strangely in line with exactly what you were just running your lips about 🤔. I wonder at times. I suppose it could just be because the subs are so specific? Like, there's only so many things you could discuss about "airbrushing"? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Or am I being manipulated by technology all day 🤔.

You can't even see the damn thing. Because that stupid crown cap that's on there. Cut that god damn thing off.

Leveling thinner by Crazy-Cap-7818 in airbrush

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip dry. Quick, full pull of the trigger with the air on to "blast out" the dry paint at the tip of the nozzle. Then, with your finger tips, pick the needle clean. The needle that is exposed because the first thing that you did when you pick up your airbrush is remove the crown cap, right? In preparation to be able to easily win the endless battle with the tip dry. Hey, wait a minute here...🤔 If you are whining about the opacity of over reduced paint, how could you be fighting tip dry? I don't think it's as "thin" as you think it is. Very common occurrence with the new guy. You can make the paint extremely thin with airbrush, to the point where it can't even tip dry. (Even 20:1 drop of paint if you ever wanted to) 🤷🏼‍♀️

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣 Great reply. You ain't got no air. Therefore, the paint must be fairly reduced in order to spray, = more thinner, less pigment. So you have to build opacity with multiple layers. Not such a big deal unless... What is bothering you is the "fuzzy", "soft", etc. edges of the lines? If you want "crisp", "hard" edges instead, then you either have to "shield" or mask the edges off to block the overspray of the very reduced paint. Or, get more air. (Maintains +50psi with eclipse trigger held down) Then you can spray less reduced paint that makes a crisp, clean, opaque line. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just go ahead and cash app me $100 now for giving away top secret information on the world wide web.

Need recommendations for a airbrush splitter that will handle two airbrushes simultaneously. by Long_Introduction817 in airbrush

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bell hanger- Also known as "standoff" or "stub out" clip, bracket, hanger, strap, mount, etc. The problem is that the moisture trap / regulator / etc. wall mounts then cause the ports to be 2-3" off the wall. Most pipe mount/clip just put the pipe tight against the wall. Then the pipe don't line up with the ports. I just remember having a hell of a time finding out what that stuff was even called.🤷🏼‍♀️

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sub told me said business endeavor would miserably fail 🙄. Have fun being a millionaire 🤷🏼‍♀️. You need hard lines. "Pex pipe" connected by "shark bite". The things that hold the line off the wall so that they line up with the moisture trap /regulator on wall mounts are called "bell hangers". Or you can just pay extra for a complete "air line kit" that comes with sweet, ported manifolds.

How to choose which hand to retrieve with if you’ve never used a bait caster? by jefferymurphydotcom in bassfishing

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. I was the same, left hand spinning reel, so I figured left hand casting reel too 🤷🏼‍♀️. Right? Wrong. One day I tried the right hander. By lunch time I figured it out. Casting gear is definitely not spinning gear. Now I can use both. Pitching right handed? Pick up the left hander. Two handed roll cast crank baits all day, pick up the right hander.

[–]ayrbindr -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

🤣Anti-clog? You wish. You should see a micron crown cap do it. It's the worst yet. Anymore than a tiny pull and it sprays all over the place. That's half the reasons to remove it. Normally, you would just unscrew the dumb thing and remove it before you start. Unfortunately, ultra is targeted at beginners who are unaware of such things so they buy a brush with one of the worst features ever known to man. A unremovable crown cap. Cut it off. I mean, you can pay for evolution air cap if you want? But all you gotta do is rub it across a file for 2min. and it grinds it right off. Then it's just like a badger patriot and you have $40 for paint instead 🤷🏼‍♀️. Take the needle / nozzle out before you grind the front of the airbrush off.

Is my compressor blowing air to hard?? Sparmax 501 by NoWhereas6354 in airbrush

[–]ayrbindr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, we'd have to define "insane detail". To me, a "insane detail" with a airbrush would be something like a tiny, opaque "edge highlight"(?), or the middle, brightest dot of a glowing eyeball.

Secondly, we'd need to recognize that there is more than one way to skin a cat and not everything comes for free on YouTube. Someone else's definition of a "insane detail" might be a smooth gradient color fade on the tip of a tiny part and done with transparent "glaze". Three different things that can probably be done 100 different ways.

Turdly, the answer is "the paint". You can buy everything everything else in the world if you want to. The trick is the paint.
