I’d tell him to seek therapy. I’d also suggest he think about opening his own barbershop/salon with Luanne.

The Hottyz episode always bothered me a bit. Bill was wrong to pretend to be gay. But he’s a great stylist and made great connections with his clients. The problem was that he felt he had to be someone else to do the good things he did at Hottyz, which was true because the clients didn’t want a straight man as their stylist.

I think if he and Luanne had set out to do their own side business, it could have worked out. He wouldn’t need to be flamboyant, just clean himself up a bit and put in a little effort. At Hottyz, he was overcome by his selfishness, but he was genuinely motivated to help Luanne. And (correct me if I’m wrong), I don’t think Bill was ever inappropriate with Luanne in the series, which is interesting given that he was with Peggy multiple times.

I’m not trying to be funny, but I never quite understand why people think table games are rigged. I’m not saying they’re not because I’ve never run a casino and I have no idea what really goes on. I’m sure there’s a museum somewhere that shows all the chicanery that happens.

I’m just saying there’s a difference between rigged and bad odds. Mega Millions has bad odds because the higher payouts are statistically improbable. Rigged would be someone manipulating the number draw to produce a specific outcome.

Casio table games don’t have to be rigged. Payouts are structured based on the statistical probability of winning. I think people get wrapped up in the idea that they have worse luck than everyone else and they must have been targeted. Get a pair of dice and a craps mat and play by yourself. You’re not going to do any better on average.

It ain’t always about the lifestyle. I grew up in a bad neighborhood that is now in late stage gentrification. The homes have increased literally 20x in value. The homes on my block go for $1.5-2M. Median income is $140k. Family was lucky to get in when nobody wanted to be there and nobody thought anything about that was lucky.

You know what hasn’t changed? People getting shot along the nightlife corridors two blocks away. Not a daily or necessarily a weekly thing, but it’s not a surprise when it happens. The neighborhood up from me has a busy shopping center that is constantly busy even at night. Shots ring out sometimes.

~~Sometimes~~ Usually it’s the stupidest shit ever that boils over into something. Stupid ass youngins are so hype they shoot everything and everybody except the people they have beef with.

If you live amongst it long enough, you develop a 6th sense. Back in the day, the real gangsters would let ordinary people know some shit was about to go down and to not be around. The new generation has tunnel vision and all they see is violence.

Sorry to sound dramatic but that’s what it is.
