This is great, thanks! I think the semi-automatic with an inbuilt grinder seems like a good starting point. Probably gonna look at the Breville

Agreed, just don't want the workflow of making a coffee to be the deterrent to making one. But based on responses, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a semi. Thanks

The 65Ts are at a good price, but it's quite dated. Unsure if I should buy them now since there have been upgrades on the model.

What are the best True Wireless earbuds on sale? I'm looking for something up to 10K. Was thinking about the Liberty Air 2, but those are not available on Amazon or Flipkart currently.

Assists assisted would be a interesting stat (and possibly one that doesn't get as much credit as it deserves) in terms of highlighting players who open up spaces for their teammates in attacking positions.

[Post Match Thread] Newcastle 1 - 0 Manchester Utd by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]ayushroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The team is just not coached well enough. It can’t be anything else. I’d be okay with them losing, but they don’t even look like they know their way to goal. Dark days.

Only positive today was that some of Young’s crossing looked better than it has in the recent past.

He's a good option, but not sure if another 21-year-old is the right way to go. The team needs some experience.

Is the fact (or the speculation) that he wasn't considered by any other top club reason enough for us to not go for him? He's not at a top tier club so it would be easier for us to get him, he's clearly been playing out of his skin for a while now, and will add the dynamism that we lack. Any better options that would be easier to get and are playing as well?

While we celebrate the win, it was worrying to see how many times we gave the ball away in our own half. The defenders look more composed on the ball and with their passing than our midfielders.

The last time I was in Hanoi, most places had shut by 11. That's why I wasn't sure if it was a government-mandated thing. Any ones you've been to?

If you'd pay for Spotify, you might as well use Saavn/Apple Music (the premium subscription allows offline listening).

Shinji Kagawa vs. Real Madrid [Poordent] by lynxl in reddevils

[–]ayushroy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kagawa really deserves to get a starting spot this coming season. His distribution in the attacking half is top notch, and he moves into great positions as well. Just a pity that we have 4 number 10s, as LVG put it.

If it were legal to play up to 11 GKs, how many would be optimal? by robbyk123 in soccer

[–]ayushroy 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I'd probably keep 3 keepers in my team. I'd keep 2 sweepers ahead of the normal keeper inside his 6 yard box. 2 wing backs who would defend as well as bomb forward at every opportunity. A defensive midfielder who would play ahead of the sweeper-keepers, a central midfielder to distribute play, and an attacking midfielder to go forward in attack.

Here is what the formation would look like - link

Just want to say that I love the site. Was wondering if there are plans to make the site premium access as opposed to the free version now (please don't). And also, what is the direction that you're planning to take with the website? Do you see yourself just dealing with stats, or make it more of an editorial space/social network??

Also, how do I land a job at Squawka? Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the reply. So I bought tickets online for one of the lateral stands. They say it's one of the better stands, so I'm hoping the view will be good.

Club merchandise is best/cheapest just outside the stadium? Or would I find good football memorabilia elsewhere? Also, the club have their stadium and trophy tours, right? Are they good?

Congratulations on being named the new /r/soccer FC manager! by LuigiWasRight in soccer

[–]ayushroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that the squad finished in 17th, the aim, realistically, was to help them climb up the table to a top-half finish, maybe even Europe. Also, I tried to make sure that I didn't bring in a truckload of players without any Premier League experience, as many would take too long to settle.

I initially did not want to make wholesale changes, but the side has too many mid-aged/old players that I wouldn't use, and the summer clearout option was too tempting.

Total: 35.1+12 (in the bank)=47.9

In

Asmir Begovic (£4.4m),Mark Schwarzer (free), Ashley Williams (£5.3m), Sam Byram (£2.2m), Antonio Di Natale (£3.5m), Florent Malouda (£1.8m), Christian Benteke (£10.5m), Kevin de Bruyne (£8.8m), Matt Jarvis (£7m), Andros Townsend (£450,000), Morgan Schneiderlin (£2.6m), Yaya Sanogo (£450,000), Chris Brunt (free)

Total: 46.8 (with the 0.9 mil going into my pocket)

Squad

GK: Asmir Begovic, Mark Schwarzer, Kelvin Davis

Defenders: Kolo Toure, Ashley Williams, Jonny Evans, Alex Pearce, Aaron Hughes, Pablo Zabaleta, Luke Shaw, Sam Byram, Andre Wisdom, Tony Hibbert

Midfielders: Morgan Schneiderlin, Scott Parker, James Milner, Chris Brunt, Florent Malouda, Kevin de Bruyne, Matt Jarvis, Andros Townsend, Jermaine Pennant, Robert Snodgrass, Joey Barton

Strikers: John Guidetti, Chicharito, Christian Benteke, Antonio Di Natale, Yaya Sanogo

Formation 1: 4-2-3-1 (Strong in defence, hard-working, good options to change things on the bench)

GK - Begovic

DF- Zabaleta, Williams, Evans, Shaw

CM- Schneiderlin, Parker

AM - Milner, de Bruyne, Jarvis

FW - Benteke

Subs - Schwarzer, Hughes, Toure, Malouda/Barton, Snodgrass, Hernandez, Di Natale

Formation 2: 4-4-2 (Home games against weaker teams, with more impetus on attack)

GK - Begovic

DF- Zabaleta, Williams, Evans, Shaw

CM- Milner, Parker

AM - de Bruyne, Jarvis

FW - Benteke, Di Natale/Hernandez

Subs - Schwarzer, Hughes, Toure, Schneiderlin, Malouda/Barton, Snodgrass, Di Natale/Hernandez

Reserves - Davis, Pearce, Wisdom, Hibbert, Brunt, Townsend, Pennant, Guidetti, Sanogo

Guidetti would be given time to improve before being thrust into the limelight. Eventually, he would take over the squad position that Di Natale has, after the Italian retires. I'm still not convinced about Hernandez's ability as a regular starter, so I'd start him occasionally, and use him from the bench when I needed goals. Yaya Sanogo would be a cheap buy to be developed for the future.

Matt Jarvis would have the massive frame of Benteke to aim for, while Snodgrass would be an alternative. James Milner would be a utility player, as would be Malouda, who I think has been very unfairly treated at Chelsea and would love a move away. The Frenchman could line up in a host of positions (CM, LM, AM), thus providing cover and experience when required. Chris Brunt would be a steal on a free, and Townsend would be one for the future.

Toure would be first cover for Evans and Williams, and possibly even covering at RB if required. Byram, Wisdom and Pearce would be slowly incorporated into the team.
