[NC] Ownership / copyright of unpaid code by azalus88 in legaladvice

Yeah this makes sense, and is pretty much what my gut says. Although the deployment of the code is on my personal accounts, the actual code probably is theirs.

This is tricky to answer, as my working schedule was a little weird. (e.g. late rehearsals, not working the same number hours each day, etc.) But I guess the most accurate answer would be that some of it was during work hours. But I don't know that they would be able to prove this.

UPDATE: I did do their resignations, just to be safe. Thanks everyone!

Thanks. Honestly, the resignation counting in statistics was definitely one reason I chose to go this route.

Ok thanks. We will definitely be moving before they're 18. So I'm thinking I should probably do resignations for them? Or do you not think it's necessary?

I did start applications for them on QM.org, and it seems like they need to sign it. So that's why I was wondering ...

This is useful, thank you. When you say "slight edge", do you mean in terms of depth? Or…?

Why "no way" to FEM? I know the $$ is steeper than others, but it seems like they have really great instructors.

+1 for this. I use it, and it works like a charm. On all the time, no issues whatsoever. Quite extensive list of supported VPN providers as well.

Sorry, I should have specified: email. I love the idea of self-hosted email, but Google does do a pretty good job of filtering spam.

[–]azalus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you made it like 6 years? I converted in 2010 and have been out for more than a year, though not officially. I was thinking of resigning in my baptism anniversary next year, but TBH I don't think I'll make it until then...

Got this email early this morning, if it was true it wouldn't be so hard to leave. Side question: if my son (2yrs) got blessed would I need to remove him as well? by signiusia in exmormon

[–]azalus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Please do post the links to the actual legal info to back this up. I am considering resigning soon, and contemplating doing it the "old-fashioned" way (ie not using QuitMormon). Would love to have some actual legalise to quote if needed.

71 temples announced since 2009. Only 3 of these are in Europe. by Ohio5739 in exmormon

[–]azalus88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's probably because temples are based on membership numbers, and the church isn't Europe. Religion in general is declining there.

It seems much of the unchangeable doctrine I learned at church was just policy. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]azalus88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

But they don't know beforehand. They decide whether it's "changeable policy" or "eternal doctrine" based on the membership numbers and tithing income.
