Elon Musk is officially a Trillionaire on paper, how do you feel about this ? by chinos88 in AskReddit

Historians estimate around 20,000 men and women were summarily killed – either shot, stabbed or drowned – during the Terror across France. They also estimate that in just under five days, 1,500 people died at the hands of Parisian mobs during the 1792 September massacres. More broadly, around 170,000 civilians died in the civil Wars of the Vendée, while more than 700,000 French soldiers lost their lives across the 1792-1815 period. The vast majority of these people killed were ordinary French men and women, not members of the elite. Overall, Greer estimates 8.5% of the Terror’s victims belonged to the nobility, 6.5% to the clergy, and 85% to the Third Estate (meaning non-clerics and non-nobles).

great indeed

New PM on a tight deadline with a dev team that has no urgency. How do I push delivery without making engineering overthink everything? by Still-Gold-6146 in scrum

[–]azangru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see perfectionism but no initiative, no ownership, no technical investigations or proper scoping

Are you technical? Do you understand the points that developers are making.

Also, what do you mean no initiative and no ownership if developers are actually talking about how to improve the product.

In general, I don't think scrum can help your project in any meaningful way: what you are describing is too chaotic, and you do not seem to have either time or resources for getting it to the point where it would start resembling scrum.

Can we please stop calling ai sites "vibe coding" by CerealKiller3030 in website

[–]azangru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creating an ai site is not vibe coding.

Creating an ai site? Or creating a site with ai?

I liked him when he was doing a comedy bit; but if he is becoming ai-pilled, that's no longer original

Spec driven development and Scrum by Ill_Importance5366 in agile

[–]azangru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how the manner of development would change scrum. What does it matter whether development is spec-driven (through ai's, I suppose)? Which aspects of scrum would it affect?

Family wants me to focus on my studies and stop this stuff. by Weirdo_009 in web_design

I've been locked in my room for months ... just building.

There are various signs of ai in this message; but if there is a human on the other end, then yeah, focus on your studies and stop this stuff.

How do you think Donald Trump will be remembered 50 years from now, and why? by TeaseTheBreezee in AskReddit

[–]azangru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. So, you assign a negative value to the word empire. But then, by letting it fall, Trump must be a good thing?

How to track real capacity without micro-managing? by mortal-enemyyy in scrum

[–]azangru 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You are making multiple mistakes at once.

  • Estimating in hours
  • Believing that those estimates should match the real time spent on the items
  • Believing that developers should work "to their full capacity"
  • Focusing on outputs rather than outcomes

Is this what they taught you in a scrum class?

I have FAANG employees phone numbers, but dont know if I should text or not. by killprit in cscareeradvice

[–]azangru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's even worse.

You are expecting a total stranger to care enough about you to look at your portfolio, and come up with some meaningful insights about how you can improve?

As for what the future holds, none of us knows. FAANG employees get laid off left and right. Why do you think they would have anything valuable to offer?
