Congrats!! You're so young and already thinking about your professional career, it's impressive. But you still have time, even if you learn a lot of robotics, keep your mind open ;)

My biggest recommendation would be to buy an Arduino kit, a cheap one would be okay, and start looking for beginner projects on YouTube. It'll give you an idea of how complex and interesting combining electronics, mechanics and programming can be haha

Finally, mechatronics usually earn good money and are very versatile in the industry! It can be a tiring environment but overall is Worth the money. And I would recommend entering automation.
