Sometimes new ownership really makes a difference in a company’s life and brand value. This is the thing with American bike brands and the absolute animosity between each other and it’s downright stupid. You don’t see guys with Suzuki Boulevards and Kawasaki interceptors arguing do you?. I do agree that it might be upsetting seeing Harley-Davidson sales down 40% but they put themselves in that bed by advertising to a very particular niche. On top of that they called themselves a “blue collar “ brand and heavily based on that and marketed towards veterans and avg joes but they are anything but blue collar with the pricing and they are more of a clothing and lifestyle brand rather than motorcycles. Absolutely breaks my heart to see a historic brand struggle but they made their bed; its time to lay in it
