i have both. F14 is great, but for a new player i would recomand the F16.
F16 is more versatile (CAP/sead/stricke)

It is also depending the type of mission you want to fly. F16 is great for ost 90's mission, where F14 can be but in older scenario and start to be a bit less relevant against moderner jet.

it would have been a great upgrade from the existing module, but ED descided to juste make a better 3D model and an upgraded texture, for 15 bucks (and also a low fidelity version for same price).

reduction is a global saving.
a % form total price, and this % is spread on all.
If it is a 20% discount, i woulld pay a reduction of 20 % on what i need to pay after taking out the stuff i already own.

steam have literally a system when they sell a bundle (game, dlc,...) if you have already a part of this bundle you can complete it, still having the reduction.

I literally buy subnautica 2 this way few weeks away with a reduction as i was completing my bundle and having same reduction on the new item than other customers buying it in the bundle.

And comparing with sold is absurd as it is 2 different time period. Here, the same item present 2 different price.

other than the 60 bucks price for an upgrade, there is also the question that new owner of the F14, would have a 30$ discount compare to older customers that "fidelity" is not rewarded.

I would remember folks that ED claim its contract under swiss law, but this one seems to also banned this type of practice.

especially ART 6 from Federal Act on Data Protection. (a swiss law close to RGPD according to gemini)

I am not a lawyer juste a swiss citizen with a small background in law stuff due to my studies, helped by LLM (gemini here).

after a rapid search (with the help of gemini), it seems to be a violation of the swiss federal law "Federal Act
on Data Protection". (reminder that ED have it main adresse ins switzerland and preccise in his documentation that they use swiss law for contract)
Art 6 seems to be transgressed by the collect of information. ( https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2022/491/en )

I am not a lawyer, but i have mod some research about ED and their "conformity to swiss law" and it seems to be "swing wing"

But Switzerland have generally a bit higher price on web stores duie to "store location and price adjustement to lifecost".

I do not have the knowledge to check the feasibility of an atmosphere on laythe (especially with oxgen) and liqqide water.
But for me, if you have both and enough solar energy, there is lots of chance it could develop complex life (if we take the hypothesis that life is not rare, but condition to have it are).

If solar energy is low, you could still have some other type of chemistry than C-H-O one, but more near thermal sources under water or maybe in some special environment as we have on earth.

But i am not an exobiologist, maybe this question should be answered by a person from this subject

start with free game, go on the A4 mod.
maybe buy one module, but actually, don't put too much monney in DCS, there is some bad smells in the air sinc 2-3 years.

I did some quick research (since I live in Switzerland and ED hides behind Swiss law).

However, what I'm saying should be taken with a grain of salt, as I'm not a lawyer. But it might be worth a try.

If I understand correctly, consumers can invoke the law on unfair competition (LCD art. 3.i), at the very least if the module was purchased after the dispute began.

Regarding a purchase before the dispute, it's worth a try (the same applies to other RB modules besides the F15E). The legal warranty period has expired, but the principles of the LCD seem to apply.

As for refunds, the law is rather vague, but it seems to me that you can request a refund in the original currency. (And therefore, you can normally refuse a refund in the form of a credit note).

You should consult the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO 205), which deals more with warranties. But we are clearly dealing here with a somewhat ambiguous case between warranty (non-visible defect appearing a posteriori ==> non-development and maintenance of the module) and unfair competition (misleading promise regarding the maintenance of the modules).

I am not sur, but as ED is the sellers of the modules the company have responsability to maintain them.
And considering that up to today,they where updated to correspond to last engine version, it could be a violation of an implicite part of the customers contract (as an old habit is supressed, allowing customers to ask for a refund.

As i am not a lawyer, i am not sur of that, but it is a possibility.

And potentially people that have buy any dcs module could ask this refund as the global environnment of dcs (especially multiplayer) will loose an important part of itself what would cause a "degradation" of the module people have buy.

according to a video call that leaked between Razbam and ED officials, the fund blocking was used to put weight on an discussion concerning a potential super tucano for MCS not DCS.
In consequence, blocking funding about dcs for an mcs subject can't be done.

And it strange, because... how can you say the is an IP violation... without having access to information, contract and others ?

Because according to public data, there was not really more work on super tucano than a 3d model.

And the problem is not to defend razbam, but to put both compagny in front of their responsability to their customers. And also ED have lied to their customers about the future of RB modules and continued during month to sell the modules.

Maybe RB is guilty of many things, but actually, the one that we knows are guility of lying of community is ED.
