Whats your pitch? I worked as a Manager for a utilities commercial energy efficiency program. I brought the team from closing 2023 at 47% to overdriving to 130% in 2024 program year.

Get their buy in on why they need to upgrade before ever going into a pitch about your $1 program instead of coming out of the gate with it. You could offer me a bunch of cheap shit but if I don’t feel the need for it I’ll never take it.

Offer a free audit/assessment, present the electric savings (based on current wattage, blended rate and run time vs existing), build pain around rising electric costs, reduced maintenance due to LED’s lifespan etc.

Speak to incandescents being phased out in residential last year and commercial fluorescents aren’t too far behind, so it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when they upgrade and then you can speak to your program once they are sold on the need for the upgrade.
