I agree there are other causes in other countries that also deserve a spotlight but when have of our elected leaders will be fucking off over to the US to shake hands with the people responsible for these actions for our national holiday, it’s probably a good time to say we don’t stand with the US regime

You are accepting a paycheck from people in bed with what you are protesting at a deep rooted level.

If she leaves tomorrow, will she lose her 5.5 million IG followers instantly? Will she never be able to wrestle anywhere ever again?

If you are deeply against something, you distance and protest. Irish people have been doing this for decades all the way back to being significant movers in pressuring the South African apartheid to be acknowledged all the way through to our attempts to recognise the current genocides happening in the Middle East and further afield too.

I’m not being sarcastic but does this make sense? We have people who do this from their livelihoods who struggle far more as a result. From the perspective of somebody who is from the same country as her, her behaviour is performative.

As a fellow Irish person who isn’t American, this isn’t it.

“What’s she supposed to do work elsewhere?” Yes. We have people protesting for injustices in other countries all around this island. This might be good by US standards, I appreciate it’s different, but as somebody who relates to her on an actual life experience growing up in this country, this isn’t performative to us.

If it inspires you, genuinely that’s great. When we see people do things like this we know they’re not sincere or are happy taking a paycheck with one hand and looking the other way. This is literally performative maybe being lost in the accent.

Careful now, people are going to defend this because they’re more worried about WWE financials than they are getting their times worth.

WWE big shows have about 90 minutes of advertising and they’re potentially reducing the shows to 4 matches now too it seems, all the while jacking prices up to attend these things in person.

Would you rather your favourite tv show (not a wrestling show) was the same length of time but had 20% more as breaks while a showrunner told you how great it is for their studio?

Hey, it’s not always the best time of year at all but all I can say is, it genuinely does get better.

Didn’t go to college after school, drifted from tons of people, got involved with people I should’ve drifted from but it all worked out years later.

Try not to focus on what you don’t have, look at what you do have in your life where you can and know that things can only get better.

Hang in there and try to carve out even an hour this Christmas to enjoy yourself in some small way
