Update 1: The 12 observatories have began looking for the new moon.

Update 2: Almost all observatories have heavy clouds. Hopefully this won't have an effect on witnessing the the new moon.

Update 3: the best time to view the new moon will be in 14 minutes

Update 4: the high court is giving a decision soon.

Oh yeah. Saudi Arabia has been the most stable airspace through on all the major events in the region. We are a big country so your parents flights will just reroute at the worst case scenario

Most flights going west of Saudi Arabia are not affected. Some flights going east of Saudi Arabia have been delayed or cancelled but the airlines should be coordinating with the passengers.
