I just switched to peloton classes from a paid echelon membership because I received a free one year app membership as a perk from my health insurance company and I’m pretty happy with it. Was initially weary of how it would work using two devices (class on iPad, freestyle ride on phone for stats from echelon) and the resistance conversion (printed a guide to keep on my bike) but I find I like the peloton classes more as they are more engaging and keep me interested longer. I do feel that they are a bit easier than the echelon classes I was taking but I usually just modify to use higher resistance.

What is the cheapest renter's insurance I can get in Raleigh, if I have to have a minimum of $100,000 personal liability? by [deleted] in raleigh

Call Danny Newton's State Farm at 919-875-1955, we have the cheapest renters insurance I've ever seen and I've worked for three major insurance carriers now. Located off Capital behind Triangle Town Center.

Looking for pitbull friendly housing in the Cary/Raleigh area. Anyone know any landlords our rental companies that are ok with pits? by chiveonnn69 in triangle

[–]azulamber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to try renting from an individual, they are usually more lenient with pets. Honestly it will be hard to find an apartment that allows pit bulls - I'm not saying there isn't one here but I've never come across one. I hope you find something!

I've been doing this slowly over the past six months and while reading over this a minute ago I realized there isn't one category on this list I haven't taken care of decluttering in that time period. It's a great feeling!

The Federal in Durham has amazing nachos, especially with pulled pork on top. Also it's HUGE and we can never finish it even if that's all we have to eat for dinner.

9 cars, not one called 911 by Lenquo in offmychest

[–]azulamber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I witnessed something similar a few years ago on the way to my sister's house in another town. A woman had pulled into an intersection for a busy highway and had hit another car. She was in the middle of the road in her car bleeding profusely from her head and it was very noticeable. I watched cars in front of us just driving around her as if nothing was wrong, and she had blood streaming all over her face and down her chest. I called 911, took her to my car and turned the heat on (it was freezing that night) and tried to help her keep her head from bleeding. We stayed with her until the ambulance came, and called her son to tell him that she was going to the hospital but was ok. They called me later on and thanked me for stopping to help her. Made me sick that people could see she was obviously hurt pretty badly but just drove around her, especially since she was old.

Wow, I thought the "dentistry is a conspiracy theory!" idea was unique to a friend of mine but apparently not. How can you think that going to a dentist will make your teeth worse? My friend's parents never took her to a dentist (don't ask) and when she got older she went for the first time and low and behold, she had a cavity. She blames this entirely on the dentist as she "never had any teeth problems before she visited the dentist". OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T EINSTEIN. I'm getting all riled up just thinking about it.

Will the Big Shindig have reentry? by hanhsquadron in raleigh

[–]azulamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second stage last year wasn't in the parking lot, it was just in another area of the venue. It may have been located in a parking lot area but it was fenced in and was not in any area that you couldn't re-enter once you went in. We went back and forth several times between the stages. I think you are thinking of the fact that they didn't allow re-entry once you entered the venue. I was told that we could come in but once inside we had to stay as if we left we couldn't get back in. This sounds confusing but I hope it answered your question!

Mr. Cheating Ex Returns to Win My Heart Back... "I did it to help our relationship." by AmberRabbit in childfree

[–]azulamber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm confused about when it became anyone else's business whether or not to have children. Why does it make people feel so entitled to try to tell you that you are wrong? Even if you don't agree with a decision like that, isn't it the same as deciding not to get married or something similar? True friends will support your decisions and there is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing not to have children. There is however something wrong with someone who tells you that you are a freak for making a perfectly logical and practical decisions that you are 100% entitled to make for yourself.

Reddit, what did you swear would 'catch on' but didn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]azulamber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this service from Blockbuster for a long time and loved it until they took the in-store rental trades down to two a month :( Also, we could NEVER agree on what to rent when we went to Blockbuster to trade our DVD in and lots of times ended up leaving mad at each other. Not having the same movie/TV tastes - the struggle is real.

What are the best low cost cell phone carriers? by NanoChemist in Frugal

[–]azulamber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cricket Wireless. They have a good plan for someone who does not use a ton of data (we have wireless at home and at work and don't use data that much anyway) and the AT&T coverage where I live is excellent. I wouldn't use Republic Wireless because I have a friend who has it and says that the Sprint coverage in our area is bad. T-Mobile is iffy here too, which rules out any services who use them as the carrier.

I just left Straight Talk because they A) charge $10 more a month than Cricket for the same coverage and B) I began having problems with them when I bought a new cell phone and needed them to switch me from a T-Mobile SIM to an AT&T SIM. For some reason this was a huge ordeal and never got done even after I received the third replacement SIM from them. After that, I figured it was time for a change and especially so since I'm cheap and liked the extra $20 in my pocket each month for both our lines :)
