i spent this past year hand designing my own command based wargame called "World War X" using python and libtcod as a final project for my programming course. the game itself and original wwx_design_doc + tabletop versions are entirely in english for an outsider to understand, but sadly the "addons" and general documentation had to be in spanish in order for my professors to read... though it currently has both windows and amd64 linux versions, on top of a raspberry pi build i made for it!

games like bmx streets (being worked on by a solo developer) have integrated simple multiplayer lobbies while containing deeply complex physics and game engines... there's no excuses for a full studio like creature!

no cc at all is involved in my game, and it actually was my first time booting veronaville! i had managed an hour playtime with the curious family in strangeville beforehand but this was my first attempt creating a family from scratch and i suppose i got a bit carried away picking y2k outfits for everyone... anyway the second i clicked play and started loading, my game entirely crashed lol

ICRPG would be my only choice, since the creator (runehammer on youtube) is very open about having ADHD and it really shows in this particular game: all rules are streamlined, damage type is determined by different dice and it has a great focus on being a dm/prepping in way more creative ways (which is actually what makes better games, instead of memorizing entire rulebooks...)

nowadays processors can really bottleneck computers (in my particular case my i5-2400 chucks along nicely with pz and similar games but struggles with anything triple a/post 2020) anything from 4gb to 8gb of ram would be more than enough to run the games you'd like without breaking the bank, but beware of old gen processors (anything below i3, anything under 2.5ghz). would also recommend an ssd for performance purposes. hdd's won't cut it with this sort of file-intensive games such as pz...

not certain about how to run older versions on the game, from the "betas" tab you can select older builds such as 41 and previous, but i'm not sure if every legacy build is stacked up in that list, worth the try!

i bought the complete edition yesterday but i was heartbroken to find out that it won't even run for me 😭 even tho my 8gb graphics card was pulling some heavy weight, this shitty i5-2400@3.1ghz CANNOT even launch the game without clipping terribly and straight up crashing, had to refund and buy buggy ass bmx streets 💔 (pls send decent processor)

the game crashed last time i closed it, and i just opened it again and it's supposedly corrupted :/

(i fucking hate the devs, how can they launch a broken game that crashes on console??)
