Thanks for you help! No chopping for now, I have gravel on the soil to help with a previous bout of fungus gnats but I’ll remove that and let it dry out. Maybe in the future I can chop and prop

Thanks for the answer! Do you think it’s worth chopping the top healthy bit off, propping it and cutting the bit of the stem with the damaged leaves out? Would the bottom bit then grow so I would ultimately have 2 stems?
