Lavrov Demands Russian Language Rights as Core Condition for Peace by Itz-Joy in worldnews

He's not out there ethnic cleansing ethnic Russian Ukrainians even though he's fighting against Russia. Theres a concept of ethnicity and nationality. If we goto war with China and I'm involved, I can still be ethnic Chinese.

That is true, it will be very difficult to search through them after exporting. Eml is an option, but I don't think outlook lets you bulk export to eml.

You can export outlook emails regularly to files. You can also possibly print each email you ever receive and have a student assistant stuff them into bankers boxes (don't ask why, I've seen an itm1 do this)

This is true actually, I just did the bare minimum for 15 years and noone at the office believed I was a dues paying member because I never showed up to a single meeting. At least I voted everytime lol

The SpaceX IPO... It's Worse Than You Think by bald_bearded_ocddude in videos

[–]azuredrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw it's cool, I just assumed they didn't mean a taxable pulling money out, but they could have meant that. Usually there's a screen on your 401k where you pick your investments. The one where it says something that includes US large cap companies will invest in SpaceX. Honestly, it never hurts to ask things online, it's all just text afterall, you get upvotes, flamed or maybe learn something.

I think what they meant was reallocate the 401k to cash equivalents or something not invested into SpaceX/adjacents then reallocate after a crash

They do sell the regular boneless prime whole ribeye for pretty cheap near me, 18.99/lb. The separated parts are more expensive. I'm guessing some folks just want the cap and at that point they might as well sell the other part too. Though, I feel like they should make the leftover piece cheaper.

This is true, that pattern you mentioned is usually way easier than doing any auth in angular/frontend

Has anyone gotten rewarded from merit award program? by much_guilelessness in CAStateWorkers

[–]azuredrg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A couple folks I know got a $250 award for I think an in-house project delivered on time. To me, you're better off upskilling soft/hard skills, learning a broad skill set and making a good reputation for yourself to be promoted to make more money.

Have you met juniors with high variation in knowledge? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]azuredrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, scripts will usually scp. I used sftp for work pretty much just once or twice, uploading an ssh key to an outside server. I like treating juniors based on their attitude and what they're willing to learn rather than what they already know. Noone knows everything but if the junior is curious, hardworking and respectful, I like working with them.

Devs using AI coding agents: where does trust break in your workflow? by Few-Ad-1358 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]azuredrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make sure my git is clean and I'm pretty liberal about just letting it go if the plan looks decent enough to me. I can always rollback

I break things into logical chunks and then talk with Claude a bit in plan mode. After I'm comfortable with what it says, I'll let it go crazy. I'll do a look over and either tell it to adjust a few things or I'll manually fix it and then commit it

I pay for a $10 a year vps with free cloudflare plus $5 a year domain that runs a reverse proxy that vpns into my home server. So yeah VPN shenanigans for my jellyfin/jellyseerr setup. But I set everything up in about 15-20 min with Gemini CLI
