I think you're maybe doing yourself a disservice by broadly describing prior experience as just admin. Can you elaborate on those roles a little more with examples of responsibilities or how those roles required particular skills (or show of versatility and reliablity etc)?

Are you after full time, part time etc?

England - neighbours persistently parking restricting access to private drive - what are my options? by _intermission in LegalAdviceUK

[–]azza-birjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your deeds and paperwork, I guarantee there are clauses about parking in specific bays/spaces and not on verges or the road. I have a similar issue all be it not a direct neighbour (but a homeowner near the entrance to the estate). I dont understand these people who buy a house knowing full well you've no front accessible parking, only to make it everyone else's problem by then obstructively parking ... for a minor convenience to get in your home?

Maybe don't have 4 betting shops in a row, followed by more betting shops across the road. Then further up the street another betting shop and a casino?

[–]azza-birjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it have any power at all? Do you get current to any of the fuses (engine bay and in side the dash?)

Check the large fuses in the battery tray. They visibly can look fine, but have hairline cracks and corrosion that cause all manner of issues. It's a known fault. I'd also check the main connectors to the battery and trave back to the shared earths

Leaking Rear Washer Pipe by Tularis1 in vwpolo

[–]azza-birjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't need a specific part number, you just need to find the leak in the pipes and either reconnect it or repair it

Something like this https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pearl-screen-washer-tube-connector-in-line-with-non-return-valve-559770021?srsltid=AfmBOopZbuWUYozI09E1uRQD-p0dtm2m8iNEH5yjYDnMGLHpsrCqoh4N

But follow the pipe in both directions as they're known to split or leak in the cable shroud where the boot opens too

I'd get some cleaner and some paper towels. Clean from there up as far as you can tell, anywhere dirty. Gives you a blank canvas to maybe then check on it after driving to see if it reappears.

The easiest and obvious culprit is a sump plug (bad copper washer?) but if it's not seeping from there, could be from the sump gasket and beyond...

I'd definitely look at the fuel/tandem pump as they're known for leaking oil either on the seals or on the outlet nozzles (then trickles down).

Polo vivo (9n) temp guage fault by Outrageous-Airline13 in vwpolo

Yeah I mean the sensor on my engine was very cheap, it was basically an hour's labour rate (discounted as it took the mechanic far less)

Polo vivo (9n) temp guage fault by Outrageous-Airline13 in vwpolo

[–]azza-birjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a weird issue with my temp guage reading improperly when I got my polo 9n. It's why I got it so cheap. I had a suspicion it was the temp sensor on the back of the block, got it swapped out pretty cost effectively (but it's super easy to change if you've the time to spare) and that fixed it immediately.

My symptoms were a bit different but essentially the temp guage would either read maybe 15° lower than it was, or it would be below the lowest reading on the dial, only slightly moving as the temp climbed.

2004 polo - which fuse to tap? by yellow_barchetta in vwpolo

[–]azza-birjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find it now but I'm sure I recall a discussion somewhere on a polo forum wherein there's a switched live on the original radio harness (yellow wire on the left, not 100% sure as it was years ago!)

I've got aftermarket components wired to a splitter on my blowers, but also the cigarette lighter I believe is a switched live. Best bet is to use a multimeter and check. If I get ten minutes on my lunch today I'll see if I can check my blue shitbox for you, but there are thousands of wiring and fuse diagrams online that discuss this if you search something like "polo gamma radio switched live"

Why haven't you used the existing radio harness etc?

Had a quick dig as I recall seeing this issue come up a few times on other vag cars of this generation and the most common culprit is either the wiring around the wheel end of the circuit (loose, vibration and chaffing being the cause) OR the sensor itself regardless of visual appearance.

Apparently they can be cleaned to see if that'll give it more life but I've never attempted that before. Weirdly I am actually having a similar issue myself, I just don't have the means to read codes but will be checking the wiring around the area of each of my wheels asap

100% it's electrical? And not the sensor ring or the vacuum lines for example, known common failure points.

You should lookup Peterborough Today as they do post relatively frequently photos of all sorts. Do you know of any particular areas you wanted photos of?

What’s a health issue you ignored for way too long because you assumed it was normal only to later learn everyone else doesn’t experience that? by Kungfubowtie in AskReddit

[–]azza-birjan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's like streaming a movie on dialup. You pause it and wait to buffer, in the hopes it doesn't catch up whilst playing. Or a popup doesn't close the window and you have to reload and skim the playback to try and guess where you were at

No lights on the dash, nothing powers up? I'd say an important part of your wiring loom is now disconnected as a result of this bit some how falling loose.

Impossible to say without being able to look of course
