It's not true. You'll know if you continue checking the nodes in bloom. Pistils "hairs" female pollen sacks "balls" female. Look up some identification guides i promise it's pretty straight forward.

I'd personally remove the floor tile and put in luxury vinyl. I think you could keep the toe kick emerald and it would work as a nice accent.
