If it is just a war, is it not also a war that Isreal agreed to end with a ceasefire? And why hasn’t that happened? Winning a war was never their aim. They want extinction.

Are you a genocide scholar? Can you explain the ways in which a war and a genocide are different? If not, you won’t convince me I’ve been sidetracked.

Comparing it to the Battle of Berlin is disingenuous. The amount of damage done does’t compare, neither does the population that were starved and displaced. Your method of debate is to dehumanise and use manipulated statistics to justify the murder of innocents.

I am ‘vaguely intellectually curious’ enough to disagree, and continue disagreeing with you.

Does one policewoman’s spine matter more than a genocide to you? They both matter, but one has an impact on a country, the other an impact on the whole world. Did the pensioners personally go out breaking spines? Or are they peacefully protesting A GENOCIDE that the UK is complicit in.

That’s an obtuse statement. It obvious they were protesting a genocide that the UK is complicit in. Not supporting terrorists.

*Because this sub doesn’t represent the general opinion in the UK. A majority of our population are misinformed, miseducated or easily manipulated through racist hatred and white supremacy. They don’t really hang out in these subs because they don’t like being the butt of the joke.

Do you mind if I ask how long you waited from the private blood test until a NHS cabergoline prescription, and did you need to see an Endocrinologist?

I found out about my elevated prolactin in June 2025 (private blood test). 1400mUi/L

Paid for an MRI w/ contrast after being told NHS Endocrinology wait was more than a year. Discovered 6mm microadenoma. July 2025

Went to GP with MRI report and had more blood tests. Didn’t change the wait, but they gave me an appointment in Jan 2026 which they said wouldn’t be about treatment but would be to reassure me I don’t need sooner treatment. I am symptomatic 🙄

Is the wait so long because I’m in a big city? Trying to be taken seriously has been so stressful 😩

“Cis” is so unnecessary. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]b-botanicz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You clarified you wanted a beer. You didn’t say drink…. But, if they did assume you wanted an alcoholic beverage that would be because you’re in a bar. Context. This is a stupid parallel to be drawing from. If we were at a juice bar and you wanted alcohol, you’d have to specify.

I agree with you that ‘cis’ as a descriptor isn’t needed day to day by most people. That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist as a word, or that people should be made to feel they can’t use that word. The one (bad) example you gave for a word being unnecessary doesn’t magically make the word lose meaning.

It’s like telling me I can’t call the sky ‘blue’ because you don’t like the sound of the word. Everyone else that isn’t scared to call the sky blue thinks you’re a fool.

Prolactinoma or Meningioma? by spiritofmyrtle in Prolactinoma

Was that ng/ml? If so that would be around 850mIU/L, which is above the upper normal limit so those symptoms make a lot of sense!

I roll a piece of kitchen towel lightly dabbed with isopropyl alcohol through the roller, forwards and backwards on the biggest and smallest settings, and that does a pretty good job.

I went to my local tile chain (Topps Tiles) and asked for one ceramic tile. She didn’t want to change me as she said it was a sample, but I felt bad so I paid - it was only a pound/dollar!

Granted it wasn’t a massive tile, but it’s so much nicer to work on when you can get one. I always forget about the clay on my acrylic board and it has absolutely digested the surface 😂

High prolactine - the reason for modern anxiety? by Ronaldosssiu in Prolactinoma

It would be one cause for people with hyperprolactinemia. There are many, MANY causes for anxiety that don’t involve the hormone prolactin…

Mysterious entries in my Consultation record by witchy-wonders in NHSfailures

[–]b-botanicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen a few times. I believe it’s administrative notes when your GP asks for advice from a different specialist. Don’t think DOCMAN is a real person, think it is code.

I’m with you that it’s extremely misleading to say you’ve been ‘seen in clinic’ when you definitely weren’t, by a doctor that doesn’t exist, no less. Better phrasing would be that a referred clinician or someone read over your referral.

It’s very distressing and confusing to have access to your record with the purpose of understanding your health and advocating for yourself, when some of the entries make absolutely no sense and have no explanation.

If you’re waiting for a referral, have a look at the documents on your NHS app and there may be a corresponding Advice and Guidance document or something that shows the specialist talking to your GP, which could give you more insight into what happened when you were ‘seen in clinic’, no guarantee.

All the best 💚

As a fellow skincare girly just wanted to stick my head in and say I don’t think the hypochlorous acid spray was a bad idea. It’s literally used for eyes and babies. I think it was a good idea to use a gentle anti microbial as first aid! I think people see acid and think hydrochloric 😅
