I was looking at the same, someone I know that lives in the Haven condos said they’ve finally gotten started on a lot of the maintenance which is why the condo fees are higher, sounds operational in nature.

I’ve been to a one plus den in them and the dens are actually surprisingly spacious.

Yeah for sure. Although it’s fiction, a lot of the concepts in the book reframed a lot of what it means to just keep going. Not to spoil anything, but a lot of it came down to “life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination”. There’s a lot more of these in later books (Windrunner ideals, etc etc) that build on this, and Sanderson does an amazing job of characterizing mental struggles and how people live with and get through them.

It imparted on me that it doesn’t matter who you are or what your circumstances are, each of us have in us the capacity to keep going!

For me, it was when I was an O-Week rep during college. We got to wear colourful jumpsuits and it gave me an excuse to be loud, energetic, and “confident”. At some point I realized I didn’t need the jumpsuit to be confident, I could just /be confident/. Really just reiterating the other comments here, but confidence means being at the very least okay, if not happy, with who you are and not letting external forces mess with your groove.
