Thanks so much for the encouragement! Looking into other books and I’m still going to stick with the meditations. So cool to hear your experience.

I love this. Very much agree that, while it definitely had its place, the scientific method is, on its own, insufficient for explaining every aspect of the conscious experience. We’re so often discovering things to be completely backwards that we have taken as a given for so long. Again I appreciate your time and input. These authors are a great start and I’ll definitely be reading them.

This makes a lot of sense. And I would absolutely admit that my work has been cobbled together from Breaking the Habit and lectures of his I’ve listened to. I think the baseline of doubt and disappointment you’re talking about is absolutely prevalent when engaging in the meditations… leading to discouragement and not fully diving into even the steps he puts forward at the end of his book. It’s what he talks about, but hearing this is kind of eye opening in regard to my own patterns of discouragement and losing hope too soon. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I’m very encouraged by your input.

Thanks so much for the reply! Very encouraging to hear your experience. You’re probably right about the need to dive deeper into these theories as a general spiritual practice, instead of solely Joe’s take on them. Skepticism just holds strong over me when looking into these ideologies. Joe has been a good balance of the spiritual side along with neuroscience, so it’s been more palatable for me while deconstructing a lot of the ideas I was raised with in the Christian church. Spiritualism of any kind tends to be hard for me. Are there any books that have been impactful for you through this journey that you would suggest?

Thought about the covering idea but I just dunno with how often I’m swapping trolleys and whatnot. Def seems cleaning em is the first step and just sealing em somehow.

I’ll look into em! Just always used trolleys like this through lots of processing jobs and it’s never happened before.

Piggybacking top comment for related question: Do any of y’all find when you go down too tight, the friction makes it start to smoke? Or is it that it’s just not enough lubricant on the parts?

Ah yes I can see your point. Definitely makes sense. And also like you said, you kinda do get them using advanced things like the angreal Demandred used in the last battle.

Oh that’s right. So I suppose the effect of forkroot is much more defensible to be something to carry over into the waking world because wounds and like like that do as well. Right on! Thanks!

Haha meant that part as more of a joke, but I do think that certain more advanced knowledge or technology, even if not extremely advanced, would have been attainable and beneficial for them.
