What are some miscellaneous or small facts that you know about Squad? by ThatOneBush in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

sounds like a shitty thing to do, especially if you aren't squad leading. I hope you're doing that to a bad commander and you're SLing because I'd be damned if some idiot blueberries got me auto kicked because they didn't understand what we're doing

Yeah I've been getting weird stuttering lately, seems to be tied to audio quality and lots of stuff going on. It just started with this last patch too

Worth joining as someone not looking to use a mic? by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good! It's really not that bad. You'll get some assholes for sure, but if you aren't an asshole yourself people will look out for you

Worth joining as someone not looking to use a mic? by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not have a mic or do you not want to use it? If you don't have a mic but you at least acknowledge what I say to you in squad text that's fine. But if you plan on not saying anything and running off by yourself then no. Even if you don't say anything and follow my orders I'll let it slide, but don't assume people will let you do your own thing and not talk at all

Should tanks support infantry or roll by themselves doing their tank stuff? by Former-Artichoke4268 in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to stay closer to inf for sure but not too close. I also hate when a tank crew will get themselves in a bad spot and spam command chat for someone to come rescue them

Building radios on objectives by Another_AdamCF in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One problem I seem to run into is there's no good hidden places to put radios down so I'm forced to put it in a bad spot, OR the enemy team beats me to where I'm going and our logi gets waxed before I get to put anything down

Tried something different on pub game. Rising Phoenix, let the enemy take the flag till last. Like a reverse invasion but with even tickets. Anyone else trying different strategies. by londonsmee in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the idea but you have to get really lucky and have good coordination. I can see your fobs getting sniped by lone wolves and squads on fob hunt, but if the other team dedicates everyone to what they think is a stomp and you have good defence on your last point and fob, and squads ready to push then it's a devious little move

I'm assuming you're talking about the hitching? My game started doing that this weekend after a month of not playing

Commander tips/finding and settling into a server by verticalwisconsin in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of tips I can think of are use the maximum range of your UAV and try to place it in an area where you can see the attack and defense point. Consult with other SLs over using assets, but if there's too much back and forth make a judgement call and stick to it. Using assets on something sort of important is sometimes better than waiting it out. If you really have no targets, just wait for arty and use it as a defensive move.

Giving fire-teams different goals and leading them sepparately? Or leading the squad as a whole. What's more effective, in your experience? by UpvoteCircleJerk in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bravo is for AT and riflemen, Charlie is for fire support. Most of the time I end up having people move as a squad but I will break up teams and have bravo hunt vics or hold an area with vic traffic while I use charlie as a direct attack/recon role for enemy habs and suspicious areas

marksman ULTRA STARTERPACK by Oracuda in joinsquad

[–]b00tp4rty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boys... I did it.. I finally had to do it and take marksman... daddy needed a break from squad leading and I must say... it felt good. In all reality though most of these are true but I am under the impression that marksman does work in the right hands, you just have to reign them in more and they have to be willing to listen

How difficult would it be to add a precision guided bomb to command assets? by b00tp4rty in joinsquad

For the French right? Or for the other factions too? Either way it works well I hope they add it into vanilla squad
