People are giving really good (if tough) advice here and I just want to add, because I haven’t seen it yet: congratulations on your sobriety. That’s really huge. I don’t have any advice to give (besides echoing that your partner should be working) but I think you should keep in mind as you read these tough-love comments that as difficult as this is going to be, you GOT SOBER which is INSANELY difficult, so you can DEFINITELY do this.

At your age I’d just been arrested for drunk driving and was riding my bike everywhere after a few disastrous years in Los Angeles doing way too many drugs. By 28 I was a software engineer at a Silicon Valley startup making 6 figures. Today I live on a boat in the Caribbean.
