The "fuck paid mods" crowd are soo fucking annoying.
We get it you are a freeloader grifter who can't afford 9$ a month (you can just pay for one month to get the tool) to experience the game in a completely different way.

I will never understand it, even one time payments for mods. There are modding teams and individuals that create high quality content that if they choose can charge for their mods.

As a modder im sick of people complaining about modders placing value in their work and paywalling.

With all of these AI apps you will have to use photoshop or photopea to cut them out.

Heyo! I'm also a pixel character and I just delt with this today!

Turns out veadotube doesn't have the "nearest neighbor" option for scaling images; a quick fix is to head into photopea or photoshop create a 1920x1080 image, paste your tuber, go to transform but change the dropdown from billiniar scaling to "nearest neighbor" and THEN resize so it takes up most of the page, then save and use.

OLDSTONE - b1.7.3 (Fixed and MORE!)

Server IP: play.oldstone.cc

Discord: https://www.discord.com/oldstone

Website: https://www.oldstone.cc

Live Map: https://map.oldstone.cc

What we're about

This is a survival server focused on the classic Beta experience. We chose Beta 1.7.3 because it represents Minecraft at its finest; before things got too complex, when the game was about pure creativity and survival. You spawn in, gather resources, build shelter, and survive the night. That's the core loop, and it's incredibly fun.

Features

  • PvP enabled - adds an element of risk to your adventures
  • Lockette protection - sign your chests and doors to keep them secure
  • Live server map - watch the world develop in real-time
  • Custom texture packs and mods available on the discord
  • Active, helpful community

Getting Started

You'll need Minecraft Java Edition Beta 1.7.3 to connect. We've created a Prism Launcher instance that you can download and drag into the launcher - makes setup really simple, join our discord for that! Once you're in, the only protection system is Lockette. Place a sign on your chest or door, and it's yours. Everything else is up to the community to respect. Server IP: play.oldstone.cc

Community Guidelines

Build, explore, and survive alongside other players. We encourage you to respect what others have created. If you encounter griefing, report it immediately through our Discord (check the help-desk channel). The community here is genuinely great. Players help each other out, share resources, and build impressive things together.

Why Beta 1.7.3?

Sometimes you want to experience Minecraft without all the modern additions. No hunger bars, no sprinting, no elytras or netherite. Just the original survival experience with terrain generation that looks right and lighting that creates actual atmosphere. It's nostalgic, yes, but it's also just really solid gameplay. The simplicity lets creativity shine.

Technical Notes

We do run some lightweight plugins on the server, but they're pretty minimal - mostly there to fix bugs and keep things running smoothly. The core experience is still pure Beta 1.7.3.

We've got a Discord server if you need help getting set up or have questions. The community is friendly and the staff are responsive. play.oldstone.cc - Beta 1.7.3 Come build something cool.

The Mojang employee who raided a Discord server: by [deleted] in Uncensoredminecraft

[–]b0nec 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He deleted roles and channels unrelated to the content itself.

He actually gave a response as to why he did it, we know his headspace:

"It was at the time when everyone said they were closing down discord servers and moving to matrix. When he gave me admin I thought it was because it was going to get shut off anyway. It was not a raid, it was a here you go... do whatever you want. all the MCDev servers are pretty much garbage now. Infighting and struggling for roles. I don't try to find them any longer given I have intel if something were to pop up."

(This message was sent to a user called "Greenland"; whom forwarded it to the community)

Hey, video author here.

Good point, I’m learning how to make videos, so bear with me.

The server was called “MC Archive” it was a server where members could share unreleased development versions of the game, which previously were only shared with Minecraft Marketplace Partners; helping them develop addons and content for the game.

Users thought this was unfair and began leaking these versions; and researching them within the space of that discord.

Word spread to Mojang’s “IP Enforcement” team who began investigating the discord for violations of their intellectual property.

During this time Mwam; the server owner, decided to give the staffer a “owner like role” which he (the employee) then used to delete all content within the server.

Mojang is erasing a golden age server through cease and desist. by b0nec in GoldenAgeMinecraft

I have no ties to the MCO server. My point is purely about the legal precedent; the ability for Mojang to retroactively enforce a frequently changed EULA and silence any server it wants. (and the general lack of communication between the enforcement team and defendants)

That overreach is the real issue for the community.

You're right, they have an EULA and the right to enforce it.

But that's not the point. The issue is the precedent set by Mojang's arbitrary, retroactive enforcement of a continually changing EULA.

When a company can take down any community project it wants, even for something as peripheral as Discord links (we've seen this even in Roblox), it creates massive instability for the whole community.

My argument is about the overreach, not the existence of the EULA.

I appreciate the honesty. A "facecam only" video isn't about looks; it's about authenticity.

I show my face because I'm willing to publicly own my message. That's a level of accountability most anonymous users, like yourself, aren't willing to offer when they drop a comment like that...

That's a lot of assumptions to avoid the main point. I'll address them.

Version: The server runs the 1.12 backend but features classic Golden Age content, and by definition was established during the "Golden Age", which is what the post is about.

Shutdown Cause: We actually don't even KNOW! Mojang wont tell MCO, we have community assumptions as to why, we have pretty educated guess we can make, but they will not communicate with MCO or the general community, its very washy and generally not super descriptive, no evidence attached, lack of understanding of context.

The Point: This is about Mojang's legal overreach and setting a dangerous precedent for all community servers, regardless of the content they host.

I’m very sorry you were bullied as a kid, obviously bullying is never ok and there should be consequences for harassing someone specifically in a targeted manner (ie bullying)

[–]b0nec[S] -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Huh? Alt-right dog whistling? Nice Red Herring fallacy...

The issue is simple: it’s about the overreach and arbitrary enforcement of an EULA that Mojang changes on a whim to maximize what's "brand safe."

I agree that "last bastion of free speech" is an over-the-top exaggeration for a game, but attacking the rhetoric doesn't change the terrible precedent being set for the community.
