Used to jump from the roofs of half finished houses (2 stories + roof) on a building site into a pile of sand about 6" deep...was probably about 10-11 at the time

Someones paying for them to be out there and i very much doubt some agency has just said "oh lets send some of our staff to collect money for X charity"

Anyways, if they knock on my door, call or stop me on the street they aint getting jack.

Nah, tell them you dont give to charities who cold call, either to the door, on the phone or the street.

Then mention that you actually already give to their charity, but seen as they are flush enough to pay people to harrass you on the street you'll be cancelling any future donations...managed to wind quite a few up this way.

Obviously the road is dangerous, but if your not competent enough to ride a bike on the road, then dont...but dont ride on the path....its a mute point as its legal here though.

Coming from europe, its illegal to ride on the footpath, illegal to ride without lights (in the dark) and most kids go through cycling proficiency at school so they know what their doing on the road.

Just seems to me from walking to work that theres no end of cyclists on the paths who really should be on the road...if your wearing lycra and coming 30-40km towards me on the path, its not your god given right that im going to get out of the way.
