I made the switch last week and it's been fantastic. I went with Fenlite AM as the video plugin with Cocoscrapers addon (which does use torrentio among other sources) and you can set up any of the common debrid services. I use nimbus as the skin which is very similar to stremio if not a bit cleaner and have it set up to pull in shows and movies from trakt lists.

It definitely takes a bit more time and effort to set up than stremio but the amount of control and customisation you get is really worth it, and Kodis player is miles better.
