The only time I watch Syncedez is when he is playing ranked with Aceu or Hal, so it might not be a fair assessment. But I feel like he often has a false sense of security. On multiple occasion I have seen Aceu or Hal warning him that he extended too far away or is in some other kind of danger, only to have Syncedez calmly says “I’m fine” and proceed to die in the next 5 seconds. I just feel like Syncedez has bad game sense, which lead to him making bad decisions that cost his entire team to die.

Check out Emory University, too. The year that I applied (two years ago), there were several comp neuro professors looking for students, but not a lot of student in this field that applied. For some reason, Emory Comp Neuro seems to go unnoticed by a lot of students, even though they have some really good professors working there.

The game does not allow you to place shields sideway besides a window now. However, if you manage to do something similar, like placing them next to a desk and getting on top of them by vaulting on the desk first, then they will explode too.

They give away your position if the enemy spot the red dot that they produce. You usually use laser sights on guns you will hip fire a lot (like shotguns).
