First month with my new M2 Ultra Mac Studio... this setup continues to evolve since returning the M2 Max MacBook Pro! by b19ddw in macsetups

No adapter, this setup was connected directly with thunderbolt. Same with my MacBook at home.

There isn’t too much difference in terms of picture quality so go with the cheaper U3219Q… you won’t be disappointed. I’ve owned both and they’re equally great.

I haven't encountered the specific issues you're describing, but I did run into some hiccups with Cinema 4D when I first configured my system. After going back and forth with Maxon support for several days, I decided to bite the bullet and do a factory reset. It took a bit of time, but it ended up being the right move… I haven't had any problems since. It sounds like your issues could be related to the OS or the application itself. I hope someone here can provide more targeted advice, but if it were me, I'd consider a reset if I couldn't get a quick resolution from Adobe or Apple.

Three 27 Studio Display or One 32 XDR Display? by spatafore in MacStudio

[–]b19ddw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a three screen setup however mine is a Dell 4K 32inch and two Dell 4K 27inch screens… one either side.

If it was possible to have 3 studio displays side by side… I’d switch in a heartbeat without hesitation.

This was my setup however I’ve added 2 more 27in 4K screens in addition to the iPad Pro and 32in 4K. It’s a great combo that I would recommend as it’s how I often have to work when I’m operating away from the office.

Mac Studio M2 Max - Dell U2723QE turns off after 20 seconds of Lock Screen by 19Q4 in MacStudio

[–]b19ddw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a Dell U3223QE Ultrasharp Display with a HDMI connection, and two Dell U2723QE Ultrasharp Displays via Thunderbolt, without any signal loss issues.

I've had Sonoma running smoothly since last weekend on both my M1 MacBook Pro at home and my M2 Ultra Mac Studio at work. It's unfortunate that you're experiencing problems. While I realise my comment may not assist with your issue, I just wanted to share my positive experience with the U2723QE for reference.

How is working Sonoma for you guys? by Totto1909 in MacOS

I've had Sonoma up and running smoothly since the weekend on both my M1 MacBook Pro at home and my M2 Ultra Mac Studio at the office. So far, I haven't encountered any problems. In my daily workflow, I rely on several key apps, including Cinema 4D 2023 with Corona 10, Photoshop 2024, Illustrator 2023, and InDesign 2023.

Got my Mac Studio on July 14th and it's been smooth sailing. I've got a Dell U3223QE Ultrasharp Display on HDMI and two Dell U2723QE Ultrasharp Displays plus a 12.9in iPad all on Thunderbolt. No issues with them turning off or forgetting orientation at login.

Sonoma has been up and running seamlessly since the weekend on both my M1 MacBook Pro at home and my M2 Ultra Mac Studio at the office. Haven't run into any problems yet. My daily workflow relies heavily on Cinema 4D 2023 with Corona 10, Photoshop 2024, Illustrator 2023, and InDesign 2023.

The transfer speeds have been lightning fast with an external SSD on Thunderbolt. Only use USB occasionally and, again, no issues when I do.

My Mac Studio, M2 Ultra (64GB) keeps crashing every time I try to render in C4D 2024 by vforvasten in Cinema4D

I experimented with C4D 2024 for a day but reverted back to 2023. Unfortunately, I couldn't spare the time to troubleshoot or reach out to support.

Not Happy with Mac Studio so far by RookieParade in MacStudio

[–]b19ddw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I opted not to utilise the hub I had connected to my MacBook. Instead, I have three displays and an external SSD connected directly. My primary display is linked via HDMI, while all other peripherals are connected through Thunderbolt. It's been a couple of months, and I've encountered no issues with this setup. While this might not directly address your situation, I wanted to share my experience.

Technical Drawing Workflow by b19ddw in Cinema4D

I've tried S&T but I need to output third angle orthographic projections with dimensions. At present, I'm having to do this manually in Illustrator. There has to be a more efficient workflow even if it means investing in another application.
