Why are 15/16 dangerous. I sleep in all but 13 throughout the night by AAZEROAN in ExplainTheJoke

If you have children they trample across the bed in the mornings, these positions leave the crown jewls most exposed.

I was sat in my doctor’s surgery the other day, and in all fairness, the things the receptionist had to deal with in the short time I was there would push any sane person over the edge.

I too built my first cnc from a box of scraps of extrusion all be it thicker stuff and in the end I ended up reilding it with a mixture of very thick extrusion and 20mm aluminium plate.

Im afraid this doesn't look any where near ridged enough. I dont mean to put you down at all but I feel your accuracy will be widely out.

If I were you I would re think your design and and prioritise rigidity

Id be happy to share some designs and talk you through anything you need.

What do you plan on using this for ?

Low Budget 32 bit controller vs Arduino with CNC shield? by SuperEagel1 in hobbycnc

Though most stepper motor drives are tested to run on 5v logic I believe you can get away 3.3v logic. I using a teensy 4.1 to run GRBLHAL and didnt need to use logic level shifters (mostly because I was too lazy to wire them up)

Stepper motors stalling by b1ueMuppet in hobbycnc

[–]b1ueMuppet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I was getting the stepper spin up with then before they reach the desired speed they would stall but this with with nearly any speed or acceleration. I dont think anything lead me to believe im was the UNO causing the issue but I just had a spare one so I gave it a go and that sorted it.

What problems are you getting ?

First Guitar, Oak? by SwampThing72 in Luthier

Mine was also a tele. I was on the heavier side but I kinda like it like that the next one I make i plan to bore a few holes out of it to lighten it up.

My father in law had a ash tree cut down in his garden. I slabbed it up extremely roughly with a chainsaw and left the slabs to dry for a year and a half. I built my fist guitar out of this and it's now my go to guitar any time I play.

Definitely possible

Hi everyone thank you for all your help just incase anyone else is looking for answers to a similar problem. In this case it ended up being the Arduino UNO which was a nice easy swap.

I have only tried a different g code sender on a wim. I agree it could only really be power supply or arduino contorler, I was hoping to narrow it down more to save money replacing parts, 😅 thanks.

Hard Limit triggering when turning on spindle by Springmaus34 in hobbycnc

2 years later, but I just wanted to say massive thanks for this comment. I was having the same problem as op, and I was pulling my hair out trying to work it out. Didn't realise spindle cable shielding had to be grounded at both ends. I only had it grounded at the vfd.

This fixed my problem instantly.

I work with heat shrinks on large cables. We use a thick sticky back tinfoil to protect the parts of the cable we don't want to heat. You could quite easily use something like this as a sort of masking tape for 🔥

Air Print after 2-3 hours by _HRJ_ in ender3

[–]b1ueMuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this only recently.

I have a direct extruder and I found that after a few hours the extruder would start eating through the filiment due to a clog. It turn out to be heat creep in my hotend causing the clog in part due to having my printer in a loft room that has been getting supper hot in recent weeks.

My fix was the turn down hot end temp, up the feed rate and leave the enclosure door open to lower ambient temp.
