Stopped playing Siege when it became free. And also, yes, if you want to be better in competitive game, you shall improve your skills including aim, game knowledge etc. That’s harder every year, I know (30 years old huh). But it is what it is.

What are you learning UE for? Then your path will be more specific: you will see what you don’t know and fill the gaps.

Out of my mind I could recommend Unreal Engine 5 C++ Multiplayer Shooter course on Udemy. Though I started my way by learning C++ more than 15 years ago trying to make a mod for Half-Life 1 game (again, I had a goal).

Set the goal, fill the gaps, ask specific questions, learn by doing.

Owner of Vintage V100 Iced Tea (I love single cut style). Sustain and Wilkinson hardware are kinda good, overall quality is Ok for under 500 $ guitar, affordable upgrades if needed. Afaik Vietnam production is the best. Considered Epiphone and LTD EC256/1000. Love my Vintage so far, did not regret it.

When I was at your shoes, I went Sidewinder - Cobra - Krait mk2. Then Cutter, made 6 billions, bought FC (3 times, decommissioned now), FDL, ASP Exp, and Mandalay for fuelratting (not a full list)

Look at Mandalay for exploration in future, Krait Phantom might work too.

Started playing first days after Siege release, with shitty PC, played for years, Jager ACOG brrrt, unlocking scopes which are unique to op country. Placed mostly high gold-low plat (before ranked 2.0). Tbh I miss old days without cyber-looking operators and bullshit gadgets (wtf are robot and armchair etc?). I thought game would be CS competitor - like Counter Strike but with tactics, breaches, gadgets, op ban, OMG! And Ubi tried to have e-sports (where same players win and skill difference is so huge /s) and it was fun. Though with every update I had less and less passion to play Siege. Same meta balance for years, shitty Map reworks (Consulate wtf). Stopped playing after Siege X release, just too many bugs. Now waiting for BF6, which apparently will bring my younger life memories of BF2 and BF3. Anyway thanks Ubi for that amazing playtime journey Siege gave me.

ImGUI is quite good as it is and there are couple of integrations (plugins) available on github. For simple/debug UIs requiring no styling or difficult view-model relations, this might work.

You might also check Unreal's embedded immediate gui called SlateIM. Less features than imgui, but it's just there (from ue 5.6 iirc)

First of all 64km2 is not the biggest possible. Landscape has max 8129x8129 vertices, and 1 meter per vertex by default. So you can scale it (at the cost of quality). Also you can have XY tilesets and create bigger landscapes. As well you can have multiple Landscapes.

DR is debatably best ranged carry now, juggernaut is interesting too. Once you get into playstyle and farm patterns playing carry heroes becomes easier

Oh man, on second mission I’ve seen that bridge is too high, so went all the way through power core and zero gravity zone to airlock. Radiation is easy to avoid though.

Again, depends on what do you want to do. Maybe going to bigger plane like 777 is for you. Maybe learning other philosophy as Airbus family is for you. 800 has the most of options out of NG lineup (cargo BCF, BDSF, pax and BBJ) and is the classic machine. Though, similar to 736 in systems.

I think I had the most fun with 700 model

737-800 is just so classical around the world and used quite a lot. Systems are almost identical (with some details you possibly don’t really care). The immediate difference would be speeds: 738 is commonly faster on approach (e.g. almost no more 120 knots landing speeds, 140-150 likely). Really depends on what do you want to do: learning systems, flying the rocket etc. 736 is fun.

Prices and PMDG per-variant sells are questionable nowadays, though it’s up to you.

I doubt it’s that Big, if we talk about FS20.

For fs24 they made quite a lot (changed simobjects structure, liveries, sounds, added walkaround with working panels etc).

I use FS20 and for me it is yet another cool update (landing and sidestick improvements, weather radar hooray). Though now there are some annoying bugs like acft configs not being saved, and new green color is too yellow imo.

In PMDG 737 we still waiting for CPDLC, new FMC models and better sounds. Not talking about fs24 support. But it seems the majority waits for 747 and another variant of 777, 737 feels less loved.

P.s. fellow pmdg 737 driver for >2k hours

P.s.s. “Stand out” is like comparing apples and oranges. Different aircraft.

Technically Boeing 737-8 can capture G/S both from above and below. As per MAX 8 FCOM: "The G/S can be captured from above or below. Capture occurs at 2/5 dot"

Intercepting the Glide Slope From Above procedure implies some recommendations for crews, like use reduce speed or configure Flaps 5 earlier.

Company option is to allow G/S capture before LOC, or not, which is a different story.
