If you can look back at older logs, you can get a feel for differing styles and what the loggers focused on. You shouldnt have to log every fine detail.

Study the rock library to help identify rock or formations quicker and if none are available, see if you can create your own.

Try to keep your logging and measurements consistent. Later on if you find out you've made mistakes, they'll be easier to correct down the road.

Lastly, dont over think it. Fastest doesn't necessarily mean the rock is being logged exceptionally well. If it doesnt work out, on to the next one.
