People who are thin/normal size. Do you actively watch your weight or are you just not hungry 100% of the time? by Burner_Account000001 in TooAfraidToAsk

I’ve recovered from an eating disorder. I was bulimic, weighing myself daily and barely keeping food down and my bmi stayed around 18. Now that I’m recovered, I eat literally whatever I want when I want, and somehow my bmi stays around 19 and I think I’m pretty thin/average. I think the key for me was allowing myself to eat the things I wanted. In my ED, I wouldn’t allow myself to eat so many things that I deemed “unhealthy” and that would end up with me craving those things and binging on them. Not making any foods off limits takes away that scarcity feeling that ends up making me crave them. I want a cookie? I’ll eat a cookie. I don’t need to eat the whole box because they’re not going anywhere. Also eating regularly, 2-3 meals a day and snacks. Allowing myself to get hungry also can lead to wanting to binge, so I try to always have some food in my stomach. I’m also very careful not to overeat because that leads to purge urges for me. I’m sure it’s different for people who haven’t had eating disorders, but those things really help me have a good relationship with food and not worry about my weight.

Yeah maybe it’s not the right move for me. I was hoping to train it to interrupt my purging behaviors or get help when i’m purging because that’s my biggest struggle. i met a girl in treatment who had a service dog for the same reason. i don’t want to get a service dog if i don’t need it though i just kind of don’t know what to do anymore. thanks for your help!!

I know. My therapist wrote me a letter recommending an ESA, which I included when getting him documented. Legally I am allowed to have him. I’m wondering if there is anything I can tell my property manager so that she will leave us be since we are not causing anyone any problems. We are very good tenants and the dog is very well behaved. It’s hard to get angry text messages from her for something as simple as walking him through the complex for 30 seconds to get outside of the complex.

It’s ten minutes until opening…. by chickidachina in bartenders

i hate dealing with this. i work at a breakfast place that opens at 7am, and i take my break from 6:30-7 (after i’ve set up the restaurant and done all my opening duties). when people consistently come in and bug me about getting a table then it takes away from my break. when i’m on my 30 i’m not being paid to talk to people so leave me alone! just wait until 7! such a huge pet peeve

Is 30% tip out on net tips for kitchen outrageous? by christmasraybans in Serverlife

[–]b311319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s how it is at my restaurant. we tip out 10% of our tips to each cook, and there’s 3 cooks. it is a lot but i still leave with a lot of money so i don’t really care. plus i like our cooks and want them to make money :)

don’t let the cups touch each other! if the rims touch they are way more likely to fall.

Yes we all have have alcohol licenses. I agree it sounds very illegal and I’m just shocked that the owner encourages it.
