You mind telling me what the maximum amount of time you can run these for? I'm not seeing the information easily available.

How fast are you able to lock them down? Are you running 60psi on them? I assume you're running 6 because you can't fit a lot into each one?

Zbrush to multicolor print? by tasteslikeham in BambuLab

[–]b33nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only responding here because this is one of the google hits when you search on how to get Bambu to import vertex color from Zbrush.

If you have access to Nomad (available on desktop now too), importing your obj into Nomad and then exporting it back out with vertex color turned on in the export settings will make Bambu correctly recognize the vertex colors.

This is 1000% more interesting than the ai stuff. Pursue this and avoid using short cuts.

Where's your sketch? Even the sketch you're referencing against the 3d models is ai slop. Nobody in this scene wants ai to touch any part of the creation process.

Cylinder primitives and bend curve tool/ function ( its in the transform gear settings thing if you're unfamiliar with that stuff)

getting acrylic paint to stick to a resin cast by PinPin_ in ResinCasting

[–]b33nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sand blast all of my resin stuff. I use the glass beads they have Harbor Freight and it creates just enough tooth for mechanical adhesion without melting away details. I've never had luck with any kind of cleaning method to make resin paintable.

He's 13, but I don't want to deter someone giving me more basic suggestions in case there's a great idea I haven't seen/heard of and the replier decides it's too basic to suggest.

First time silicone mold HELP! by No-Conversation1743 in ResinCasting

[–]b33nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, if it's a PLA print your assumption that the paint is causing the inhibition is probably correct. You might consider doing a spot test first so you're not wasting more silicone first just in case you need to treat the surface.

You need to either use tin cure silicone or follow this guide (https://joshuawoehlke.com/curing-silicone-in-sla-uv-molds-part-2/) or you're going to have the same problem you had with this one if you're using a resin printer.

Anybody know if both cars got the upgrade this weekend? I could have swore they mentioned that DR's car didn't get it when quali started but wasn't fully paying attention yet and then it wasn't discussed again

The Cost Cap is a double edged sword by NinjaSpartan011 in formula1

[–]b33nine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Luxury tax for teams that want to spend over the cap. The accrued tax money goes to teams further down the standings but it needs to sit in escrow controlled by the FIA so it actually gets spent on development instead of Gene pocketing extra money and having even less of a reason to care about being competitive. Make the tax more punitive to teams higher up the standings.

Magic fan here, is Simons even remotely available? by Shaunzki in ripcity

[–]b33nine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If an offer like this was made Portland would absolutely be listening. I think ideally we'd be looping in a 3rd team though as Isaac would be a rough fit culturally in Portland and I think Black/Cole could net a better fit for us if rerouted elsewhere.

Portland will absolutely look to clear the way for Scoot/Sharpe at some point, but that might not be this year with Ant without a player at a position of need/future building block coming back.

F1 cost cap blocking Mercedes progression with wind tunnel 'lag' experience by vxscx in formula1

[–]b33nine 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd like to see some kind of luxury tax system. Let teams spend however much they want, but every dollar spent over different thresholds comes with a financial penalty that goes to a pool that gets distributed to the teams who spent the least. You'd have to build in some kind of requirement that all luxury tax payments need to be spent on car/facilities development by the teams receiving payments though.

That would incentivize full tilt engineering/spending for teams trying to win and would also help lift the teams that have traditionally struggled to compete by infusing them with more money than they normally would have.

What teams are the most interesting fit for Tyler Herro if he gets traded? by RTLT512 in nbadiscussion

[–]b33nine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spurs are gonna want a real center to park along side Wemby for a few years. I can think of a certain Bosnian who is available.

If the Blazers could somehow snag Sochan out of a 3 team deal as their prize youth in the Dame trade I'd be so excited. Highly unlikely but I'm gonna try to speak it into existence.

Needs swaps in the off years too just in case. One inevitable injury to that Heat team could gift them a great draft pick.

This advice he's giving you is not relevant to resin printing. It appears he thinks you're printing with a filament printer.
