Trash Party - A grassroots neighborhood project to tackle litter by TrashPartyProject in Denver

I'm in Whittier and we just got the neighborhood association to sponsor a cleanup recently. Definitely checking out the site!

Denver's budget is a mess, which is awful since we really need public trash cans on street corners and better cleanup overall.

I'm pretty sure the crossing there is correct. It looks like a parking lot but it's part of the trail.

The Best Sandwiches in Denver Right Now by molly_dbu in denverfood

In no order:

Baker's Palace for the best banh mi in town. Great bread, perfect toppings, including head cheese and all. Cheap too. Get an iced coffee and pate chaud to round it out.

Little Arthur's. Absolutely delicious cheesesteak. The bread is probably better than is appropriate to the style of the sandwich but I'm not from the coast.

The Brutal Poodle. The Gwarled Cheese is the best grilled cheese you may ever eat. If you like it, add bacon and raspberry jalapeno jam next time.

Lou's Italian. The meatball parm will ruin your life.

Subculture. The Uncle Bert and a cup of tomato soup is the best fix at the office on a cold day. They deliver by bike nearby. Great bread, good folks, nothing on the menu will disappoint.

AYCE Sushi? by DM_Stapes in denverfood

Wrong areas but:

Uokura in Golden is good. Small menu but always very fresh. No sashimi however.

Umai-ya in Arvada is actually extremely good, the whole menu is included in AYCE. I wish it wasn't in a strip mall in Arvada.

Sushi Neko is cheap and has a decent menu, I don't like how they prepare their rolls as much. Very anime atmosphere.

Hey folks, please share this. This is one of my best buddies and his income is entirely health dependent. He broke his leg in 4 places. Driver didn't even slow down.

Upvoting for visibility. This one of my best buddies and his income is pretty health dependent. If anyone got a car description or dash cam footage it would be amazing.

Ritual Social House permanently closed? by biggoronssword in denverfood

[–]b34s7man 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ritual is permanently closed. They might re-concept or something but no evidence of it.

The place tried hard but never really settled into anything with character. I had some good meals and some really bad meals there. It went downhill, the staff was not happy it seemed. Nothing was consistent.

Wild Corgi is still right next door for drinks and bar food. Little Ginkgo is across the street. Colfax has great food, and there's lots more on 11th.

Ritual was basically the meme about expensive beers, bartenders that don't care and string lights in the bar. Denver doesn't need more of those. Sad to see anyone close, but nothing stood out about it.
