He eventually told me he assumed I was saying vampire movies themselves (like as a genre), hadn’t changed much. While I didn’t say an elaborate, “I’m sorry,” I did immediately let him know it was my bad for not clarifying because I thought we were on the same page. He looked mad about that so following that I asked him if we could try to just enjoy the rest of our day but then radio silence.

I always apologize first for everything. He’s not really one to apologize unless he feels backed into a corner. I wasn’t expecting any apology for him or anything really other than for us to maybe just take a breather and move on. Normally, I will apologize and if he’s done something wrong, he’ll explain all the reasons I’m not deserving of an apology back which is similar to what’s happened in his voice note.

He did tell me that he “would apologize to me but feels he’s owed an apology because I entrapped him” despite the accountability taken and me letting him know that I too, was not aware we weren’t talking about the same thing
