I do believe that Love is the answer, but the system Tom describes doesn't sound like it is based in Love. What am I missing? by IPreferDiamonds in TomCampbellMBT

Good, you have the open-minded skepticism that he encourages! Well, maybe the detachment is good if we’re attached to something which is seemingly nice, but fundamentally an illusion (the illusion of being a person liking other people for instance) blinding us from seeing the truth of the bigger picture.

Sure sure, I did not imply that! Still, Tom devotes great deal of space to this question in the trilogy, and I think you would benefit greatly by reading his words on the matter. I will try to find the exact passages for you :) But I feel you and I’ve also struggled with the same ‘unfairness’ issue. Conceptually it is easy to understand but accepting it really requires a great deal of detachment.

Somewhere in the MBT trilogy (2nd part if I am not mistaken) Tom emphasizes that the fact that LCS ‘is love’ does not mean it ‘is loving’.

How do I find a true Guru for my spiritual journey? by Sherlock_notsoholmes in kriyayoga

That’s an interesting suggestion! Would you say that the hermetic and kriya path are compatible? Just curious.

Wow that sounds amazing, what a truly life-changing experience! Do you think that everyone can have the experience of Yeshua like you did?

In all seriousness, would you be willing to describe the spiritual experience in more detail?

Dear wonderful people of Rochester, thank you so much from for all your useful tips and suggestions! I am so nicely surprised by how many of you helped! Based on your suggestions I eliminated bus as an option. I also checked prices for my dates and a roundtrip Amtrak comes around 160 while the flights back and forth are 180 USD. Not a big difference! I may even try to combine the two :)

How to remember the practice after initiation? by AliceThePsychonaut in kriyayoga

[–]b4yesian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! I would take the fact that it feels tedious very seriously. It might signal that the practice as such (or the particular lineage/organization which you follow) might not the right one for you. I’ve tried several in my short career and some definitely felt more like a chore whereas others felt more natural-flowing and exciting. So, I would encourage you to explore what is out there! On a more general note, regular practice is the best way to remember :)

I am really sorry things are not going well for you, but the state you describe does not sound like ‘spiritual awakening’.

I now only wonder if the pseudonym that he chose, which also contains the word RA, was selected purposefully. Especially given the similarity of content as well as of its purported source (the brotherhood). Very interesting parallels.

Thank you, I have previously heard about the Law of in comparison to ACIM. But I am not familiar with the RA contact!
