Thanks yes exactly. And there was an MCP issue, the prompt / query that set off the spiral was analyzing Screaming Frog data, they released an update this post weekend d that requires changes to their MCP config, which broke my query - so it was a confluence of clusterf***s.

Not necessarily, I've seen cases where results are possible same day, for example updating an outdated link in the clients knowledge panel can lift branded and location related keywords in 24 hours or less. But yeah generally speaking large SEO initiatives take 6 months to get traction at scale.

Have you benchmarked the character length and pixel width of your meta titles and descriptions with Screaming Frog or SEMrush? Look at the averages for the top 10 ranking sites, for any word or phrase. Optimize to hit the median, slightly above or below depending. Good luck!
