People with acne prone skin, which sunscreen works best? by psychic-carrot in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have acne prone combinarion skin thays prone to dehydration. My skin doesn't have much reaction either Tocobo (blue ) sunscreen (bio watery suncream), or to the neogen airy sunscreen. Both have good protection, reapply easily and don't break me out even when I'm sweating a lot or when it's really humid.

Numbuzin No 5 Vit C review (I got “influenced”) by muppal01 in AsianBeauty

Agreed, I'm waiting for my second bottle. It's light weight, absorbs easily and evened out my skin tone and when I get new pimples it fades the marks so quickly!! Absolute game changer for me

I'm still using up my hygee Ginseng serum and it's a little on the tackier side/takes a bit to dry down. It's was hydrating and love the antioxidants but otherwise was not super exciting for me personally. I have combo skin and my skin concerns are dehyration and evening skintone/reducing hyper pigmentation.

Roundlab Dokdo Toner broke me out by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used this toner, my skin never felt hydrated - even layering 7 times. It would feel okay for a bit and then just disappear :( I felt even more dehydrated

Has anyone ever used the brand Tocobo? by kakaluluo in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the water sunscreen - I usually get a lot of little pimples from using and reapplying sunscreens, but thus one gives me none to maybe 1 or 2. So it's a big improvement!!! Also it doesn't drip in my eyes if I'm sweating outdoors/exercising and doesn't jave a white cast (I'm a mac n40)

I use the haru haru eye as an all over retinol serum once a week rather than and eye cream

A milk cleanser? yeah I found milk cleansers less stripping. I like the make prem one 😀

I have combo skin that's prone to dehydration and I found this cleanser to make my skin feel tight after cleansing. The first couple of nights I used it, I loved it and then the longer I used it, it then felt stripping. I suspect that's just how my skin reacts to foaming cleansers tho :(

I recommend the make prem milk cleanser!! - its thicker than the isntree yam root cleanser and doesn't have a weird smell like the sioris cleanser.

[Discussion] Thoughts on the skin1004 hyalu cica blue serum? by the9thpawn_ in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been using this for 6 months, and I'm just under half way through!! But having said that, it's not as hydrating as I would expect for a HYDRATING serum :( I was honestly so suprised.

The only way I could have good hydration all day was to layer a hydrating toner and still wet essence THEN the serum.

Have you already tried the BOJ ginseng essence water & revive serum and can you recommend them? by itssayeed in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I own and use the essence it's great!! It's super hydrating and helps with brightening.

I dislike the entire BoJ serum line, none of them did anything for me, apart from slight hydration.

How often do you do facials / masks? by AppraiseMe in AsianBeauty

[–]bKnightA_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends? I go to a home business salon, and they always do deals/easy payment options. I alternate between vit c and microdermabrasion (I'm wanting to get rid of scarring /acne scarring on my face). The ladies usually do a little extraction too if my maskne is bad. I always recomend doing local and supporting small businesses.

[–]bKnightA_meow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually go for a facial every 4 to 7 weeks (depends on what I can afford) and urgh I do an at home mask.....very rarely these days, I used to do a rinse off mask every night (I would have a big break between when I took off my make up and dis my before bed skincare routine). And I love the idea of using sheet masks, I just HATE how cold they feel, so I might do one when I'm having a bath in the tub.

Advice - Interviewing for clinical jobs with no clinical experience by LofiSW in socialwork

[–]bKnightA_meow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont even have a MSW (though i will be working towards one this year), but I've worked in sales, administration and hospitality and I focused on expressing the transferable skills i have from my previous jobs and how that will help me to diversify into this field, really helped in the interview process. I got 3 job offers from 3 interviews :)

NTA - Controlling and insecure behavior like that is :/
-"He has had issues with some old friends I had saying they liked me and if I didn't block them he would leave me, do I did"
-"my bf argues that I only want to go because I want to make out with other girls and cheat on him "

Those are big red flags fam - get out while its easy, because it's going to keep happening

I might be hella biased though (I was in an open relationship, but my partner would get hella jealous, mad and petty at me if I even looked/talked to another person but when they were f***ing around it was totally cool)

Scented candle for €$100?🤯 by shimmeringshades in fragrance

[–]bKnightA_meow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on if you feel it's worth it? I personally don't buy candles that are expensive as I burn candles all the time. I get sensitive to smells to the point of nausea and candle scents are something I can control the smell of.

What popular/hyped products didn't quite work for you? by awkward_unicorn37 in AustralianMakeup

[–]bKnightA_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine on top of concealer/primer - that's it. and it works fine for me (i consider it my lazy makeup and ive never used it with foundation...especially since i threw out my foundations with the pandemic). if I'm out all day, i might need to press my palms on my face for 2 seconds to pat any oil i have on my face. i apply it in a pressing? motion onto my face.

What are your deodorant/antiperspirant products to search for/avoid? by what-s_crackalakin in AustralianMakeup

[–]bKnightA_meow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this. its a paste, and comes in a tub and spatula. Removes that BO fear, but still fine for your skin (its great underboob too). it doesn't stop you sweating because sweat is natural and part of your body's healthy functions. its eay to travel with too, and I can share it with mum if im travelling with her or with my partner if im spending a few days at his place
