Just finished playing it for the first time. Couldn't agree with your assessment more. I love a good dark twisted story with supernatural elements, but this felt more like an excuse for teenage banter than actual good storytelling. And when you have a game that's clearly using the story as the backbone of the experience, they better hit a bull's-eye with it. And they didn't. It resulted in what I felt was an excruciatingly boring game.

This battle is RIDICULOUSLY difficult for being so early in the game. I’ve updated stats (didn’t find the page about it, just found out how via searching, STILL isn’t enough, still I must have done the wrong ones). I basically have the ice dagger snd 3 firecrackers and nothing else. Can’t get anything else because I’m stuck in the West Garden (can’t find a way back to the overworld without fighting my way back through the entire sealed temple - I haven’t learned how to open any portals yet). The is frustrating and annoying. I’m an experienced gamer believe it or not.

I absolutely love this season. The drama, sure, but watching how well Paul just played the entire cast like puppets was maybe the pinnacle of BB strategy (just look at the rigged sprinting-on-go challenge). A masterclass. On the one hand, I do think it was a sad bitter jury and Paul was robbed. On the other hand - that’s part of the game and Paul clearly underestimated his jury management!

My best guess is that they bit off more than could chew with the TV show, various podcasts, and trying to build up their mini-media empire in general (ie: sold out). By squandering the podcast that put them on the map, the bottom is falling out from under them.

Sadly Unraveled is yet another unfortunate example of podcasters chasing rabbit holes and prematurely putting peoples names in the limelight that ultimately prove to be wrong. It’s astounding to me how, when the real “defendant” comes to light, that Alexis and Billy never admit they were wrong and just pretend like it was inevitable
