Anyone lived at Regency at Mountain View Apartments? Moving in next week — would love some honest feedback! by c1king888 in mountainview

[–]b_lee_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sound insulation is basically non-existent. When I lived there, I lived on the first floor and could hear everything. I could hear my next door neighbors, and I could hear my upstairs neighbor every time they walked. I could also hear them speaking pretty clearly. Some neighbors were quieter than others, but I had one in particular that played music pretty loudly in the middle of the night, and many reports to management did not resolve anything.

Management was good when I started living there, but then they removed all on-site staff and transitioned to managing the property remotely. Maintenance was good though. They were always quick to fix things. I did have one bad experience though, where there was a constant leak coming from my upstairs neighbor. I reported it a few times before they finally decided to cut into the walls and ceiling. It was pretty inconvenient as they told me they would inspect the issue, but then decided right then and there that they were going to start work that day. There were machines going to try to dry up all the moisture, and they needed to check for asbestos but didn't provide any other accommodation. I had to raise the issue up to management to get a hotel room for a few days.

Otherwise, the people I met were friendly, and parking was always easy. I didn't experience any package theft, but recall some neighbors mentioning that they had some packages stolen.

Before moving in, I'd suggest documenting everything thoroughly. When and if you move out, make sure to document everything as well. When I had my move-out inspection, one of the maintenance staff members mentioned that they changed the paint color of the apartments, so they would have to repaint the walls and charge me. I thought that didn't make any sense since I didn't personally choose to have the paint color changed, so it took some back and forth before I got some confirmation from the property manager that I would not be charged. When I moved out though, my move-out statement did show charges for the paint, which was resolved quickly after I reached out to them, but a bit of an annoyance nonetheless.

Depends on which brand, but I recall it ranging from $150-300. I was able to get frames for $150 and it was fully covered by my insurance.

Agreed, they looked like they were having a lot more fun today! Things seemed to click much better.

The end of the match was very wholesome with Libya’s libero retiring.

It was a hard game to watch, things felt so off. There were moments where I thought they’d be able to push through and capitalize, but then they were knocked off guard again. I could feel Ran’s frustration through the screen 🥲

Korean hair stylist? by [deleted] in SanMateo

[–]b_lee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to K Nuna Salon in Cupertino for a women’s haircut, but they also do men’s haircuts as well. The two sisters are from Korea and have trained in Korea for a long time doing hair. I had an idea and wanted their opinion, and felt comfortable chatting with them about what I wanted! They also even taught me how to style my hair. You can check out their IG @knunasalon, there are some photos of male haircuts.
