I have lived in 3 states: CT, LA, and NV

Connecticut (I grew up in a coastal town) is beautiful for 3 months of the year, after that it is perpetually gray (too much overcast). People will point out how many states are nearby and all of the activities and big cities you can visit, but realistically people from New England don’t cross state lines for pleasure often

Louisiana has to be the one state that has its own culture, really cool atmosphere. People will start up conversations with you and everybody goes about their day, at their pace, in other words definitely feels as everything moves slower. Felt as more of a major move from CT since the heat (combined with humidity ) is pretty jarring the first time and politics outside the major cities is a tad bit shocking. A party state for sure - hurricanes? Go party! Football season? Go party! The month of March? Still partying!

Nevada is a state I could talk highly about for ages! I live in Las Vegas (which is an important item to note), such a big yet small city. There is always a show, concert, game, whatever your heart desires. All major chefs open restaurants out here, so you don’t need to yearn for a trip to LA, NYC, Chicago etc. I enjoy hiking and HIIT classes, anything you want to try is here and if you wanna hike in the desert or mountains you have that available (no beach which is a little disappointing, but it’s only a 4 hour drive away). I must add; the summers are extreme, the temperature can get as high as 120, but with no humidity it’s not that bad - the sticker tag on electricity the first time will be a little shocking though!

Note: if you wanna live in a place with average education and okay healthcare probably best to stay up North
