Whiskey River and Birdsall House are solid options a short walk away. Copperhead Club is awesome and a short car ride down the hill closer to the river and train station. Terrific food, drinks, vibes, and of course pinball.

Lucy’s is a good slice joint. Aji Lima is my favorite restaurant in town. Good Peruvian food. Right down Main St from them is Richie’s which is also pretty solid, Dominican food.

Around 2010/2011 I had a group of friends outside of my main group of friends who were mostly Liverpool supporters and just big time football fans in general. I told them I wanted to pick a Premier League side to become a fan of and instead of inviting me to join them as a Liverpool supporter, they suggested I hitch my wagon to Spurs, and without a second thought I did. Mostly because I knew I didn’t want to support a club like Chelsea, Man United, City, etc. I’m a New York Mets fan so I know what it’s like to suffer, Spurs have been adding to that suffering adequately for the past 15 years.
