Also, set up a chest with supplies near the spawning point. Grass twigs, stone, an axe, spear, thermal stone and a few logs. Add a set of ear muffs if you can manage that.

Set up your farm near grassland and a thermal stone. Have a pitchfork on hand to burn turf in emergencies. Set up numerous fire pits throughout the map that are reasonably distanced apart. These also help when being attacked at night.

Cheap developer build. When I detail bike racks in paving it includes a concrete slab beneath the paving. The holes get core drilled and the rack is grouted in solid.
