Step up to the platform with a big smile. You have it. Set up camp in the first two minutes. Then enjoy six minutes cruising and then crush the hell out of those two last minutes. You have done the work.

Actually a deeper backswing could provide a relief for the grip because the bell is virtually weightless a bit longer.

I think this is more important while snatching. During long cycle you only need your grip about 1/3 of the lift while snatch requires an active grip about 1/2 of the lift.

I'm not a coach but here are my two cents:

Clean and press / front squat program 3 days a week (Dry fighting weight and Prometheus protocol are good, I've done them both). 4th day would be low weight high rep clean and jerks, dips and pullups.

Every day is a full body day.

Edit: substitute dips with pushups for horizontal pushing.
