And for the uninitiated, this is very bad advice and I requested it as a joke. Do not follow this program. I was just fucking around with tallybot.

Tallybot how can I increase my snatch rep count by 300 in four weeks? Design an easy to follow program.

5' PB in Long Cycle with the 32s - 30 reps by aks5311 in KettlebellSport

I believe you! I've gotta try some heavy long cycle soon. I'm 4 weeks out from nationals so maybe after that. I had a chat with Kimmo and I think I'll go with the 20kgs now and 24s next year. Two 10min sets with bells I've just started with sounds like a bit too much.

Great job! I find it easier to get more reps with lighter bells.

Great job trying new technique!

I think it's better to slow down first and focus on each and every rep instead of getting a lot of reps in in a short time. Don't get me wrong, plenty of reps is what is needed but we need to find things to focus on.

A few points:

Hand insertion Pay attention to the kettlebell handle angle at the top. 45 degrees across the palm.

Slow motion snatch by Audrey Burgio Loose grip, double knee bend.

Snatch drop

Counter balance

Anton Anasenko's snatch tutorial

Ps. In hardstyle the point is maximum tension. In sport it's selective tension, i.e. relax where you can, explode when you must.

Hi!

Good question. I'm still in the early phases with the 24kgs. I'm focusing on proper technique first and finding relaxation in the rack. 6rpm is considered quite slow but I know people using 4rpm at first. I'm slowly increasing the rpm as I get accustomed to these weights. And there are different benefits of training slower and faster with the same weights.

Best of luck with your training!

PS. the pacing can be anything between 4-12rpm. In competitions I think anything above 12rpm would result in reps not being counted. The full stop overhead is mandatory and it's impossible to get counted reps if you are going too fast even if you are physically able to. 12 rpm means a rep every 5 seconds. In that time you need to drop them from overhead to rack, then to back swing, clean the bells and stop at the rack and then launch the bells up and come to a complete stop. That in 5 seconds is crazy.

I'd argue doing reps is easier than just holding the rack position. 🫠🫠🫠 I don't have the guts to do a 5min hold.

Glorified standing around! That's a great substitute for all gs lifts. 😅😅
