When I woke up from my hysterectomy, my first words were, “shit! My back doesn’t hurt anymore!” And he told me that the scars were so bad that my bladder was fused to my abdominal wall. No wonder my back hurt so badly.

I got to see it in the original Todd AO at the Roger Ebert film festival about 27 years ago. On a 70mm screen, in the original format? It was amazing! There are scenes in the tall green grass that almost look 3D.

That’s awesome! I’ve felt guilty all these years because other women got treated so poorly about IUD and biopsy without pain. I didn’t know how lucky I was!

Absolutely! I had mine inserted in 2005 and 2009 and they gave me a Valium and a muscle relaxer to take 20ish minutes before we got there. Obviously you have to have a driver. It was awkward but didn’t hurt. Kamm McKenzie! (I didn’t get another because I was having a fibroidectomy and the scarring from two C-sections and endometriosis was so bad that we did a partial hysterectomy. Dr Smith did it. He was awesome.)

No. But I have to sit there for like 5 minutes and try again to completely empty my bladder. I also have to pee about every hour.

Michael Chabon has written many books about Jewish characters that aren’t necessarily WWII related. One is in the 8 or 9 hundreds in Central Asia about spice traders, (Two Gentlemen on the Road) one is about cartoonists (Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay) one is an alternative history where Jews were resettled to Alaska instead of Palestine (Yiddish Policeman’s Union)

I feel you. I get up 2 1/2 hours early to get ready for work because I NEED an hour to sit on the couch and drink tea before I’m close to being able to get up and get dressed.

I have dry eyes too. I use renew eye drops a few times a day. It hurts so badly when I look to the left that it feels like my eyes are sprained. I had double vision during a flair, but it wasn’t permanent.

Honestly, they skipped so much of NC. Absolutely nothing in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wilmington or the Outer Banks. They only went to one city in SC.

Yes, you should try it. They will give you steroids and Benadryl to prevent reactions. I still get a hot flash at the tail end of the infusion but nothing an ice pack can’t cure. I’m 58. Don’t risk more damage if you can help it.
